What would you lose?

If your Facebook account was suspended or frozen by Facebook, what would you lose? For instance, would you lose access to friends? And, would you just start over with a new account?

I would have to say that I would try to start over if I could. Can you start a new account if you have been suspended though?

Do they maybe check IP addresses? But I have heard that many have multiple accounts so maybe not.

I think that many have multiple accounts Barry. I do not think that you are losing out on a lot due to the fact that you can just start a new one.

You would lose all access to your account and advertising account too. You would have to appeal it and it your unsuccessful, you would have to then create a new one with different email, phone number, etc.. What would you lose?

A friend of mine shut down her Facebook account and lost hundreds of friends. Though she messaged me on her other account and asked me to add her on another Facebook account. Though she has so few friends on this account by comparison to how many she had before. I'm sure she will just rebuild but still all that takes time.

If you lost your Facebook account, you could lose credibility with your business clients. That could be true if you had a thriving Facebook fan page that was associated with the account.

Hopefully, you would not be doing anything on your business or personal Facebook account to risk your Facebook page status as such a loss would equal lost income too.

Lots of people have multiple accounts on Facebook. My contractor friend has one for his business and one for personal and, unfortunately, some of his party "buddies" from the personal one started posting dumb crap on the business one. It's best to keep them totally separate.

As far as what I would lose, I have a couple of apps on FB that I'd lose access to if they banned me completely, but it wouldn't bother me, as I'm personally not a big fan of Facebook anyway What would you lose?

Also, one of the role playing game apps I created for Facebook got canned when they changed the developer code awhile back and that had quite a few players, so they lost out on playing my game and I lost my player member base.

It sucked, but I didn't have the patience to recode it, so I just let it die.

Try to download a copy from facebook setting. If you see any problem in facebook, create new account and import all data. What would you lose?

Using the download/archive function for Facebook is a really good idea. And, I wish I'd done this before I lost access to my original Facebook account as it would have saved me much time trying to find everyone on my friend list again.

Though I've seen this option on Facebook, I've never bothered to use it. Maybe I would want to keep my personal messages from friends. Then again, I don't know if I would ever have time to sort through them later on, if the account were lost. So not really sure if I would go for this option. Though downloading my images might be a good idea.

I like playing Facebook games. If I lost my account for Facebook, I would lose my ranking for my favorite games.

Maybe not. But, you could at least try to start a Facebook account. On more than one occasion, I have read where someone would at least try to do this when shut out of their main account and it seems to work for awhile.

I would lose my forum fan page and forum group on Facebook and would try to start over. But, it's taken so long to build the membership on both those, it might not even be worth it, considering everything I would have to go through to restore another page/group to the same activity level.

I just don't wish for that day to come soon. I mean I have made lots of friends on facebook that I want to be there for them forever. So, it is all about my friends at the moment.

This is a good question that I haven’t given a thought. Yeah, what happens if my account in Facebook is suddenly gone for one reason or another? First off, my circle would be missing me and they would try to find a way to contact me for sure. Some of them know my email address or phone number. And with my posts gone, what really did I lose? Maybe nothing much because I have a copy of all my posts, at least in the last year or so, I have kept the posted pictures in one folder. The best I can do is to create another account and start gathering my friends.
