With Google Adwords, you can specify a specific amount of money to be spent per click. Is this true for Facebook ads?

I have not looked into using Facebook ads. But I have read how you can promote a post for around $7.00. Though that would be for your Facebook timeline posts.

The minimum daily budget for a Facebook campaign is $1. When you start the campaign the budget is always higher, but you can edit the value and set it to $1 in your ad manager account.

I don't set the budget of how much I can spend on a Facebook ad considering the fact that I can subtly run some ads on the groups I own on Facebook without spending a dime on it.

I think I have read online that run ads on Facebook for a $1 daily.So you set the amount to that and see how it goes.Though I have always preferred free ads on Facebook
