Facebook has replaced personal blogging for so many people. The ease of use with uploading photos, publishing videos and 'blogging' given by Facebook far exceeds what Blogger or Tumblr has to offer.

Facebook has replaced personal blogging for most people. You don't often see personal blogs anymore. Though some people would prefer to use Twitter for micro blogging irrelevant daily activities than Facebook. The social aspect of Facebook makes it perfect for chronicling one's own life, with major events.

Well, practically they are the same – Facebook, blog, forum. But just like an animal, they are the same specie but of different breeds. If you will look closely, each has their own strength and weaknesses. Facebook has no theme although the Facebook Page and Facebook Group have their themes. A forum has a niche that should be adhered to while a blog also has a niche but the exchange of communication is not as dynamic as the forum. Back to Facebook, I find it a universal network hence it is the most popular.
