Why doesn't Facebook have a blog?

I checked out the Facebook blog but it's very inactive. Why can't they bother to update it?

Facebook might feel all their content should be on the actual Facebook site, such as an official Facebook news page, rather than a blog subdomain.

I think their plan to have a blog did not go as planned, so they struck to having everything on the main site. So, just try and understand things with them anyway.
