    PageRank short form is PR. PageRank is a link analysis algorithm used by Google to help determine the relative importance of a site. Every website is given a Google PageRank score between 0 and 10 on an exponential scale.

    Page rank is an indicator of how many backlinks you have and where your backlinks come from, when a high page rank page link to you it will increase your page rank. But in the actual ranking it has minimum effect.

    Do you know Page rank is not updated since its last update during Dec 6, 2013. I think google now considers traffic on a site not page rank.

    Man alive what is wrong with you people!? Google are no longer updating Page Rank. It doesn't get any simpler to understand than that!

    It doesn't matter how many web 2 articles or guest posts or forum posts he creates. Page rank will NOT be passed to his site anymore.

    I like that term relative importance because that is indeed how I understand the Google Page Rank. It changes when there is change to your website particularly when you upload new contents. That may be the reason why the content is the primary element for SEO methods because of that angle. From what I have read in one discussion, the updating of the page rank is not regular which means your website can stay in that rank for weeks even if you have made so many SEO work on your website.
