My site is not Ranking

Please help me. I want to rank my website in local search (Google.com) TN. I am working for my website last 6 month but I am not getting high rank yet. Please guys suggest to me what i do for rank my website.

That is also my suggestion that SEO work is a continuing process so the spreading of backlinks should be done every day. It doesn’t need to be a lot of backlinks but even just 1 backlink a day will do as long as it is posted on a very popular site like on a big forum or a popular blog. Do not forget to upload contents regularly as well because the content is the backbone of the website.

You could be affected by EMD update, go check ahrefs see if your backlink profile is natural.

I think you need to remove your bad linking if available because today most of the sites are being penalized because of bad link submissions.

First,once again recheck your site and On Page are done it properly,then start doing Off page like forums posting,blog comment.
Remove the old content and add fresh content and try it..

Why he has to remove the old content if it's written well and it's original & unique?

Matt Cutts made a similar point on one of his Google SEO videos how some content is considered evergreen by Google and doesn't need to be updated as it's perpetually popular. Other types of content such as news is held to a different standard and the most recent version is usually the highest ranking in Google. That's not saying it's not necessary to add new content to a page/post or site on occasion, just that older pages don't constantly have to be updated.

Which site you are targeting and what are your keywords, if the niche in which you are targeting is huge and keywords are competitive it will take time to get higher ranking, I am also suffering with the same problem because my niche is highly competitive and I am not able to achieve higher ranking yet after working for 8 approx months

To rank a site you need to have backlinks , the more the better your rankings. They need to be diverse I would start with article marketing you will get the most bang for your buck . So write or have an article written about your site then go over to fiver.

Are you targeting more long tail keywords to make up for the lack of search engine traffic for highly popular (shorter) keywords?

For target local area, you have to create some valuable backlinks from some local stuff like Local Listing, Local Events, Local Classifieds, and etc. And one more thing add your local address on all pages of your website and you can also use your city and state in meta like.. Butter Shop in TN.

if site is not ranking that means there is issue in on site or keywords selection or site structure ..... there is no need for extra back-links it will shoot towards penalization or never ranking again.always use experts open-ion that is quite for the senility of your site .

When you cannot find your site on the first 5 pages of a search list result, that is truly an indication that your site is not ranking good. First of all, you need to upload contents regularly. The new contents should be directly related to your niche and should also be original and unique. Next is to promote it in other sites and also in social media. From what I had read in some discussions, backlinks have a merit with SEO so it helps to increase the rank of your website.
