What if all the content on your site was duplicate?

Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ

What if all the content on your site was duplicate?

What if you found out one day that all the content on your site was duplicate and your pages were being penalized in Google as a result? For instance, maybe you hired a webmaster to manage your site and he added copied content from another site. How would you go about fixing the situation?

Just start cleaning up the duplicate content, removing it and adding new content on those pages. Just be sure Google knows you are adding new content, by pinging the pages and linking back from reputable sources.

You can remove the duplicate content...

But sites with duplicate content also get some traffic, it all depends on you what kind of sites you want.

You can link back to original copyright holder by adding a link to his website but link must be No follow (according to Google's new policy update)

Or just clean up your data and start with 0 What if all the content on your site was duplicate? I'm not agree with mikeQ "sites with duplicate content did not get any traffic from Google because google hates (ctrl+C and ctrl+V)

So use tools like copyscape and remove duplicate content from your site.

This sounds like an interesting development. Do you have a link to the post where Google talks about this. I'd love to learn more.

There are some plugins to scrap the entire contents of your website and spin the duplicate contents (if you are using wordpress). You can use these plugins to make your content original. However, using automated tools to spin your contents will create posts with a poor readability score.
The best method is to rewrite the contents yourself or hire someone to rewrite contents.

You mean to say that the contents on your website, part of entire contents, are copied from another website? In that case, I guess it would take a gargantuan effort to recover from that situation. Maybe it would be better to shut down your website and create another one. At least, starting from scratch will be to your advantage regarding the issue of duplicate content. And this time, you should have learned your lesson about letting someone else take care of your website.
