    Yahoo answers is no follow?

    Is Yahoo answers a do follow or no follow site? Wouldn't it be more for traffic than SEO? What do you think?

    Upto my knowledge yahoo answers is a dofollow site. I can say this because I couldn't find any nofollow attribute on yahoo answers. Also, there are any people people who actually leave there backlink for link juice of yahoo answers.

    Links with nofollow should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine. ... Search Engines that support nofollow: Google, MSN Search and Yahoo! History of ... However, according to Google, that answer is no.

    You said "according to google, answer is no". What does it mean ? Isn't a site itself responsible for stating that it is nofollow or dofollow ?

    In order to cut spam to post a hyperlink to photo bucket, Flickr or any other site you must be at least on the 2nd level, minimum 250 points. When you reach that level: Left click on the URL to highlight it then right click and from the drop down menu left click on copy then go to where you want to put the URL, right click and from the drop down menu left click paste then double space.


    But yeah, Yahoo Answers can generate a lot of traffic if done right.

    To addon, yahoo answers brought me 20% of traffic last month !! I guess that tells everything about amount of traffic you can generate through yahoo answers ;)

Yahoo Answers has many major advantages and resources, but there is ... Although, at the time of writing, the links you post are nofollow links ...

    to addon, it is not only good for traffic but to build brand name for your site. I mean after you answer a question with reference to some site, that site is getting free impressions !

    Being nofollow, it is an authority discussion place where lots of quality stuffs can be found. If you contribute to this community then you would get benefit in promotion too.

    Yes, there is no doubt to it really, Yahoo Answer is nofollow, yet it is very beneficial for getting traffic if you contribute.


    From all I've read, Google would love it if we all acted as if they (Google search and other search engines) did not exist and simply went about getting natural backlinks from related sites, similar to the way we would if we were just advertising or promoting to a niche audience. In this way, Yahoo Answers is a good thing as it puts you in contact with people who are really interested in what you have to say (assuming you are answering the questions in your niche).

    I agree with you. I mean who doesn't want targeted users and free visibility ? Yahoo answers is the way to do that Yahoo answers is no follow?

    You can't make it dofollow, unless you can convince yahoo employee to do it for you ;). The only reason people suggest yahoo answers is because you get visibility!

    As I write this in, Yahoo answers is a non-entity in my opinion It has been overtaken by Quora. Yahoo Answers in my opinion is a non-follow. I think that getting traffic through SEO is still a better option.I don't see however popular Yahoo Answer gets, the possibility of it getting you more traffic then good all regular SEO. You can try other sites that are like Yahoo Answers. There is one called Just Answer and the popular Quora.
