Domain age and ranking!

I was wondering, the domain age is really important factor for search engine ranking? Old domain and booked for long period has an advantage in search engine point of view?

Also search engine would consider the old domain site as well established?

Older domains have more history. Websites with a old domain are considered more reliable by the search engines.

The domain age and the site age are big factors for search engine ranking. The aged domain and aged site are likely to be ranked higher than the new domain and new site in the same niche. In some countries, the first requirement for adsense is the domain and the site should be at least six months old.

That's a good question and having an old domain can boost your site a little only if the other 200 more factors Google is using for ranking are also in a positive note. The best thing to do is just concentrate on your content because it is a major factor of rankings.

Based on what I had read in this site, domain age is an important factor but not that very important because it is not the first in the list of elements that affect search engines. However, when it comes to comparison of a new website and an old website, it is presumed that an old website has more contents than a new one. That idea is the importance that they say about an old domain.
