    Backlinking from Yahoo Answers

    Many buyers on SEOClerks are looking for backlinks from Yahoo Answers. I'm assuming these backlinks are no follow and don't pass link juice. However, Google would still know about the backlinks, so maybe they are good for SEO. Do these type of Yahoo Answer backlinks help with search engine rank? Are these Yahoo Answer backlinks just for traffic generation purposes?

    Google considers & gives a small credit to the link when it comes form Q & A websites. Questions & Answers websites are something like review sharing websites.

    For Ex: If a person asks for, Do you familiar with SEO Clerks? Is it some kind of FAKE?
    Answers for this questions will be a great review about that website.

    Heard a news recently that Google gives more priority to YELP website listings - Yelp is a review sharing website/local business directory. So I think Google gives some value to Yahoo answers too. Also No-Follow link from PR 8 sure increase the search engine ranks & traffic.

    I don't understand about the nofollow policy. I gather that yahoo no longer makes links someone puts in an answer as dofollow, so while you get traffic you won't get SEO juice?

    That's a common mistaken - A nofollow link will not pass PR juice, SEO juice depends mainly on PR of the website your link is placed on (this case Yahoo=high authority) and the relevance, which depends on the context your link is placed in.

    Though google may not , yahoo would give some priority .

    As we know though these are not dofollow getting notice in some high pr sites may increase your ranking

    YaHoo Answers have been cracking down on this. They have incorporate the no follow links because of all the spam, in saying that they have increased the number of moderators there, so it's heavily watched.

    I have put my YaHoo Answers listing on hold because of this. They can smell spam miles away. I didn't get banned or suspended, I just thought I wouldn't do it for a while so I can build my post count up more without having anything removed.

    Those backlinks were pretty good about 2 years ago. Not sure if nowadays they are helpful, but of course if you get a backlink from this website, it won't be a waste of time! ;)

    Yes Yahoo answers were Pretty Good back links, and still Good the purpose of both the traffic and back links, so we can use for any sites it's beneficial for us.
