    Do you use Yahoo Answers for backlinking?

    Can you get high quality backlinks from Yahoo Answers? Do these provide traffic or SEO benefit?

    I've used yahoo answers for some of my niche sites. It's good for finding real traffic (versus SEO). Be sure to answer thoroughly and link back to a specific page on your blog or site where the reader can find more information on the subject.

    Yahoo Answer is especially good for gardening and crafting blogs as there are many enthusiasts on the site. You can get backlinks easily to your niche blog posts from that site.

    What is the use of Yahoo answers if it's not do follow? It makes no sense to go for these links if they are not being followed by Google onto your site.

    Yahoo Answer has good traffic if you build reputation there then you would get some targeted traffic as well.

    I tried using it before but don't really get enough traffic for my niche.
    It might work on yours depending on what your niche is. Try to follow the suggestions of Beverly and you'll face no problem regarding their SPAM detections.

    Yahoo Answer has good traffic if you build reputation there then you would get some targeted traffic as well.


    But, does Google actually count the backlinks coming from that site? And, if so, is only the first backlink counted or backlinks from all pages on Yahoo answers?

    So long as it's a manually generated link, not like a signature link which appears with every post, the backlink is likely to be counted on every page.

    Yahoo Answer is a very effective source of traffic and backlinks. Yes it is. It works great for me every time. I use it regularly and religiously and recommend my clients to use it regularly.
    Yahoo Answer has its own readers as well backlinks from here has a special significance.

    Backlink from yahoo answers is useful only to generate traffic. You will not get any link juice from it, as it is no follow site.
