Could Bing overtake Google as the leading search engine?

A new article predicts that if this past month's trend (where Google's search share dipped below 90%) continues, leading competitor Bing, who's search share is climbing, could overtake them and become the search engine of choice.

Do you think this is possible? If so, what factors would play a role in Google's downfall?

Even Facebook could over take Google as search engine king, assuming they come up with their own search engine. Currently, they boast the largest pool of users for any site (rivaling Google search or even Gmail). There's no reason Facebook couldn't compete on a global level.

I guess that is very possible for another search engine to overtake Google. However, it will take a sort of miracle to make it happen because users have that habit and it’s not easy to break the search habit of users even if the competing search proves better than Google. With the mention of Facebook, it is the most potent social media and perhaps it’s the only one that is capable of beating Google in the search engine game.
