Bing it On!

Bing it On!

An official site from Bing that lets you try out the Bing search results side by side with Google search.

Try it out and see if Bing beats Google on search. Try five keword searches and then choose which side does better. This is a blind test, meaning you won't get to know before hand which search window is Google and which one is Bing.

http://www.bingiton.com/

I tried it out and amazingly there was a tie between Bing and Google (two results in favor of Bing and two for Google with a draw). Sometimes I could tell the difference between Bing and Google results as it seems Google has a distinctive look (like when they show videos on the listing) and other times, the search results were almost identical, (in style). Though the search results were usually different for each keyword I searched.

I still love Google, if only because I have used it for so long. It will take a lot more to get me to switch to Bing on a regular basis.

I guess most of us still love google. It is obvious that we don't want to leave something which we have been using for years. It is like we are attached to it.

I made a thread about this somewhere. I picked Bing 3 out of 5 when I used this.

I actually like bings results and display better. I have a bad habit of using Google. I need to switch.

I don't think that 'best' is the point, here. get ranked well on Google, because it's the largest, and then tweak to ensure that you maximize Bing. isn't that over 80% of search results covered?

I feel that this is a great idea. I guess when you can compare them side by side, you will really be able to see which one is truly better.

This test is a good way of showing Bing’s capability in terms of speed in searching. It was claimed before that Google is the fastest gun in the west, so to speak. But with that kind of benchmarking of Bing’s speed against Google, the picture is clear. However, whenever I would try Bing as I do it once in a long while, the search list lacks relevance to my search like the search list of Google.
