This is a good tactic to use. It really does work. Not so sure that I do use it though, would have to think about it.

Try to sell your ad copy reader on the idea that your product or service will save them time/money/frustration or make them happy by using it.

Emotional appeal is one strategy used everyday by advertisers and marketers. According to statistics it works more often than not.Humans as irrational as we can be most times overlook every other thing but not when it has to do with their feelings, if one can advertise to provoke ones feelings in a positive then a sale is bound to happen because the buyer is dwelling more on the judgement of the emotions now and not really on why he or she is buying the products.

Show the person how you can solve their problem with your product and they will buy it. That's how to write an ad and make a sale.

Let me speak from my own emotion. I am a dog lover and I never fail to check on the ads with pictures of dogs in pathetic condition. Especially the ads of animal rights advocate, it is usually about stray animals and animals that suffered cruelty. One advertisement has a photo of a truck containing butchered dogs. Oh, that really broke my heart. Emotion appeal is truly effective when it comes to advertising.
