How much did you earn as freelancer?

i wanna to know from all the senior in here,,can you tell me the story which are inspiring you to engage in freelancer?
and how much did you earn ? ,,,can you share some experience?

As a freelancer in general and all my earnings during these years..? - Impossible to answer.

With that being said, you shouldn't become a freelancer thinking "I'M GONNA MAKE MILLIONS".. Thousands of freelancer are doing that each day and I would say that less than 1% are that successful.. You should start from the beginning and climb your way to the top, step by step. Your own steps. Guidance and such are obviously awesome, but you should never do EXACTLY what others have done.. That will most likely end up in failure.

Reading inspiring threads and articles can be of great value. That depends on each individual but it's like a two-edged sword. One side of it might be amazing and you'll get fired up and feel like some kind of "marketplace Rambo".. On the other side.. You'll read about all these people who's making tons of cash, meanwhile you're struggling yourself.. That will most likely ruin your whole process.

Be careful. Do your research. Read, learn and implement.. And last but not least.. Never give up. No matter how many times you fail.. Because failure is something natural in this kind of business.. What matters is, how you keep moving forward each time you run into a speed-bump.

Things that inspires me are people who's struggled from the very beginning and continued to work hard, each day and each night and finally reaches their goals.. That's amazing. No matter how big or small their goals have been.. One step after another.. That's how you'll reach the top.

Great points here! I would even say that the percentage of freelancers making millions is way less than 1%; only maybe in the most developed countries is around this value

But you are right, building a business step by step with patience is the key to success.
Also, never giving up as you said (persistence) is extremely important; many people fail because they don't have that!

Well,I just making an okay sum every month end though I'm not cool with it. I wish to get more and I'm targeting some sites and I hope to get more job offers.of course more offers simply means more money.

if you need to work online then come in fully,you wouldn't regret it.

Even though this thread is about how much money people have made and not how you can make more, I'll give you the best advice I can give you. The same advice I give everyone else who's asking the same questions..

First of all.. Read and learn.

I know this isn't the answer people are looking for, but it's the single best thing to do if you're looking for money online.

Secondly.. Try, Change, Edit and try even more.. And, most often, fail.

Why would I ever recommend someone to actually fail..? - Because that's the best learning curve you can have. You read and learn things, you try things and you fail doing the things you are doing.. When you've done that, do some more research, make necessary changes and implement your new strategies.. That's how you'll end up with success in the long run.

So, basics first. Search this forum. Read the different sections. Read everything you can.. And benefit from your own efforts later on.

There was a time when I was making over $500 every month as a freelancer. This money translated as a good income in my home country, which was higher than a banker's salary. However, these days I am not earning much. I work 8-10 hours a day and barely earn a living from freelancing.

I started working online 8 years back and I was mostly into writing at that time. Later I discovered other ways to earn online. I work as a freelancer nowadays and I earn mostly from online selling and tutoring. However, at the beginning it was not easy for me to sell my products online. I had to advertise and make sure that I provide an outstanding service to customers. I started online tutoring only recently and this is a totally different but good experience. As far as my earnings are concerned, I don't earn a fixed amount per month. It varies.

I have not started earning that much working as a freelancer and that's the thing with those of us that are starting early. I always know that there are better ways that I can get better and those are the ways that I'm looking forward to at the moment.

I have been doing freelancing work for more than 3 years now and I am not really earning much maybe because I have a full time job in the office and my freelancing is just part time. But the perks of my freelancing is that I learn many things especially that SEO thing which was alien to me before I came into this forum. And I also gain new friends from the forums that I go to. But perhaps if I go full time in my freelancing then I can feed myself from my earnings.

Have been a freelance writer for over 5 years. My first opportunity to be a freelance writer was at a site that had a PPV payment plan. I was paid $5 if my article got 1000 unique views. I can still remember being surprised when I got an eMail that I said I had received a payment. It encouraged me to stay on the freelance writing path.

From that site, I started looking for other writing sites and other writing opportunities. The sites I found paid writers based on Ad Sense revenues and commissions from affiliate marketing product sales. I found sites where I earned … although not consistently … but then Google did “something” (???). I don't know what! Not a geek. But the earnings from my writings significantly decreased because of whatever it was that they did.

As if the Google "change/shake-up" wasn't bad enough, some of the sites shut down, which meant my income stream vanished.

While all this was happening, I started trying to publish my own blogs and websites and no sooner than I started and was beginning to get the hang of how to monetize my sites … guess what? Ad Blockers!!

So am I still trying to earn money freelance writing? Yep yep. You bet!

Writing is a skill that I have and I'm certain there are opportunities to earn consistently.

At present, not much. Three years ago I was earning $300 up as a part time writer. I stopped for a year and when I got back late last year, I was literslly shocked, because the rates have gone down big time. Nowadays I'm just earning $100 total per month on the 3 sites that I've been working on.
