Business partner or not.. Share your thoughts!

Clerks Nation,
I need some tips, ideas and thoughts.. I'd be happy to hear from any of you!

This is the case. (I won't go into any exact details)
Note: This is my whole business I'm talking about and NOT only SEOClerks related.

I'm up against time every now and then & fighting against the clock is brutal.. I'm spending too much time on support, being nice & helpful & completing orders (and everything related.) I've had some major troubles finding the right "go to guy" when I'm in need of help.. And these kind of things just goes on an on.. And on.. And on... And oooon..

With that said, I'm basically up against time. I waste too much time doing 100 different things simultaneously. (I do this because I love it & I choose to do it.)

The sad part is.. That it doesn't look like I can continue to do this on my own & I've been having thoughts on a partner. A side-kick. Someone who's able to help me out with things I need taken care of. (Customer support for instance.) At least some of it..

The question is, would you do it? Should I? And how should I?
Most of the things I'm doing includes talking to private clients I've had for several months, completing orders on SEOClerks, talking to people (both sellers & buyers) on SEOClerks, satisfy my private clients needs, customer support and also talking too several prospects each week. And similar things..

All of these things, requires my username/password for several things. (SEOClerks account, email etc.)

How on earth am I supposed to trust someone with my account details?? Even if I did.. There's nothing that stops my partner to trashing my whole business..

What would you do? How would you do it?

Regards,
hitmeasap

I wouldn't share my password with anyone if I were you, since you have a high rating and spent a lot of time working on your account.

There is nothing wrong in sharing password with your partner as we can lock our account and no one can change our email account from the setting section (only staff can) ;)

Hi .. Its really nice to know that you have got lot of clients and serve then as a good seller. Customer services is one of the most important aspect in any business to run long.. Well coming to trust on some one and rather believing some one and sharing task to them would be a challenging task for you and its a time taking process. .
I think its better to give some minor access to the guy whom you think you can trust check his progress daily see if he is too willing to serve your clients as of his own clients .. and then plan for more ... my 2 Cents Business partner or not.. Share your thoughts! ;)

I've had the same issue trying to find someone I trust to do things where my reputation is at stake. It comes down to the saying "If you want anything done right you have to do it yourself"

I feel for your situation and wish you the best of luck!

Do you have someone in mind for the job? Or are you just still trying to decide if you want to do this or not. I would say that you would want to really be sure about who you were going to pick for the job before offering it to them.

Thanks for your input. That's exactly what I'm afraid of.. Someone ruining my entire business. (Both SEOClerks and my personal clients.)

Would you mind explaining this in depth?
Do you mean it would be possible to give someone my password and they wouldn't be able to withdraw my money for instance?

Well, I'm not speaking of SEOClerks alone but I totally feel you. So, how would you proceed?

Yeah, I agree with you and that's what I'm been doing until now. Taking care of things myself. I still do it but I can clearly see that it won't last for much longer if I can't come up with some solutions for things. Fast. That's the reason for my thread.. It's a slightly desperate attempt to get some great answers. Business partner or not.. Share your thoughts!

I'm still trying to decide. I don't have anyone in mind but I can sense "danger" with the whole sharing my account details things, so I'm worried. It would be total CHAOS if the partner I choose to work with decides to do something crazy and ruin my business. In worst case scenario, I'd never make a comeback from that. It would take years at least and that's not something I'm willing to gamble with.

Yeez.. Looks like I'm out of luck. For now. Business partner or not.. Share your thoughts!

Yes @hitmeasap you can provide your password to someone and they can't withdraw money (they can but can not change the paypal or other id's only existing ones are allowed) you can go to setting page and there you see a option of lock account! Hope you got it.

We had a sad experience with partnership. The only perso I can trust as a partner is my partner in life and my siblings. Even my cousins are doubtful when it comes to integrity. And with online work, it is easy to steal everything when you give someone the passwords. Check your other options if you cannot get support from people close to you.

Why not just outsource your jobs so that you can just concentrate in getting accounts and marketing. Running an online business solo is really hard since there's no one to delegate work to. You need to take off some load by outsourcing your work.
