Is there a magic number for website ownership? I try not to own more than a few static HTML sites at once as it requires so much more work than a blog. Though I own numerous blogs.
I own a forum which is not technically an HTML site. I don't own any HTML static sites now though in the past I had many. I had an online site editor but still spent hours every week updating and adding new pages. SEO for those sites was very hard and I rarely ranked at all for keywords I targeted. Now I prefer blogs. A blog is easily updated, even weeks in advance. And, SEO for a blog is super easy, my blogs always rank well when I take time to do SEO. Maybe static sites work for some people but I'm not having any luck with them right now.

I had an html site few years before but now I don't have any html site.... my most of the sites are on Wordpress now!
I think that you should do what you can handle. If you can only handle one then that is fine. If you have a few make sure that none of them are suffering due to working more on any other ones.
I have two ecommerce websites and a hand full of blogs. I have hosting plan for 10 websites, however, I only have 6 websites running. I don't intend to keep all of these websites, I created some of these websites to sell so that I can earn quick money. sadly, I have not been able to sell my websites. I have tried flippa, but in vain. When I see the websites just like mine being sold, I get encouraged, however, when I list my website I don't even get a query.
I have some blogs and I'm.very active with two.The rest were just built for the fond of expressing my inner being.like my recipe blog it was mainly to show my culinary skills and others like that.
