Do you have a personal blog?

I blog for personal reasons, so that I will remember events in my life. Sometimes, I blog my thoughts and feelings and it acts like therapy. Usually, there is no need to blog daily but once a week or so I will write a very long blog post about all the things going on in my life and how I feel about them.

I have a personal blog where I make notes to myself about my day/life and post photos of my family. This blog is not open to anyone but myself. I like using it more than Facebook (even though Facebook has privacy settings) as many times the content you post on Facebook is considered Facebook property, even once you delete it.

No I do not. I really should have one but I am just way to busy at the moment to even think about starting one.

I think the notion of having a personal blog is one every blogger should really think about. I mean it gives one the chance to write more about the things happening around him without fear of who is going to read them since it is personal to him. I am thinking of setting up a personal blog as well.

If you are thinking about setting a personal blog, you should not dilly-dally. Starting a blog is not very complicated. You need a domain and you can get domain for less than a dollar. Some hosting company even gives you a free domain for using their hosting service. You can find $1 a month hosting service.

I have been writing on the internet since 2010, however, I did not have my own blog until the end of 2015. I registered a xyz domain (because it has the lowest registration fees, just 88 cents) and bought a shared hosting package that cost me less then$1 per month. I already had pre written articles, therefore I did not encounter problem associated with writing, Burt after few months I lost traction. After one year, I am again working on my blog.

Similar to your reasons, I also never felt the need to write daily. Since I mostly wrote my thoughts on my personal blog and it helped so much especially in days where I was overthinking so much. I have always been writing so readers can know my thoughts and feelings on something.

is your blog a self-hosted blog or a free blog? Have you monetized your blog? What kind of monetizing methods are using on your blog. Are you earning revenue? My personal blog, a self-hosted blog is two years old, it receives organic traffic, however, I am not earning much. based on how much I am making from adsense, I think it will take two years to reach $100 mark.

I used to be a co-blogger and I enjoyed writing. In fact, that experience was one of the factors that motivated me to continue writing. I just couldn’t handle blogging for now because of my full time job in the office which takes most of my time. But when I retire in a few years from now maybe blogging will be my occupation. That is one of the reasons why I am here and learning the methods of SEO.
