    If you are just on the forum to leave your signature link, then you are likely going to spam the links more than if you are interested in being a real part of a forum and helping out others there. Just go to a forum with the right motive and you will always be confident of acceptance.

    Make really good posts. Share your information and knowledge freely. Don't be stingy with advice. Those things will help you become accepted quickly on a forum.

    Approach the forum with a helpful attitude and you will always gain acceptance. Don't put a signature line on the forum unless you really need to do so as that will often negate any credibility you have with members. Once you are more well established and liked, you can add it then.

    If you mean accepted is to be an established member then I’d say that you should be posting regularly so the other members will remember your name. And to be more effective, make your posts relevant to the discussion and interesting too. Make it a point that you have information to share in your post. With that, maybe you can be accepted in the forum within 2 or 3 weeks of regular good posting.
