I believe that if you own a forum it is always best to visit on a daily basis, it shows initiative and it shows that you are eager to see your forum thrive. I enjoy going on forums that I frequent daily and seeing that owners of the forum have been active, it shows that they really are passionate about their forum and that they really are interested in keeping it active.

It’s not only a visit by the forum owner but to stay in the forum like living in it. I have seen how new forums have struggled in making the community grow. The admin/owner was always present and continually joining topics. You can perhaps relax a bit if the community is comfortably large and you have trusted moderators.
