Who do you talk to when you are frustrated about your forum?

When I'm frustrated about the things going on at my forum, I try to find another forum online such as for forum owners where everyone is discussing similar problems. I've tried discussing my forum with my girlfriend but she's not into the same things and doesn't see what the big deal is about.

@Asmodeus and I are each others support. When we are frustrated or overwhelmed with problems or issues we talk to each other. We take breaks together and chat about unrelated issues, then we sit beside each other while we work... Laptops in front of us, sometimes comparing notes...lol

"Hey! They announced the Friday contest winner!" = Me
"Alrighty! I'll be right there to check it out!" = @Asmodeus

It's funny...lol

Webmaster or admin forums are good for finding like minded business friends who can help you sort out daily forum problems. Just go onto a forum where there are many other forum admins or owners and talk about your problems with forum management. Just be candid and straight forward about your problems with forum life and you are likely to get some good feedback on what to do next.

As much as I like webmaster and admin forums for the shared forum ownership experience, I try to maintain a professional attitude when posting on these places. I see some people who don't mind venting or ranting about this person or that on those type of forums. And, it just turns me off from wanting to join their forum (which most times is advertised in their signature line).

This reminds me of the days when my husband would come home and talk to me about the problems of their office’s forum. That’s how I came to learn the ins and outs of forum management through his stories on what’s happening in their forum. Maybe the best person to talk to when you have a big problem with your forum is your spouse because that is the first person who can understand you and your problems. But if you have a best friend who is in the same industry then maybe that’s also one of the best persons that you can approach for a chat or even advice.
