Forum members who get click happy on your ads

It might seem like a good thing to have forum members actively clicking on your Adsense ads. But, this could also be perceived as suspicious clicks by Adsense, resulting in your account being suspended or shut down. Sometimes members click to be helpful, other times just to be malicious. How can you make sure your forum members don't abuse your Adsense ads?

Don't show ads to your logged in members or they might click accidentally or on purpose and get you banned.

If this happens to your forum, be sure to report it to Adsense quickly before they suspect you have any part in the action. The key to keeping your account from being suspended is to be proactive in these situations.

On the flip side, your regular members are the best audience for your advertisements as a forum browser who is not logged in won't usually click on ads.

This issue is new to me. I’m sure there are people like that who click the ads to help. I remember a local site that issues an appeal form time to time for members to click on the ads once in a while in order to help the forum earn from the revenue. I didn’t know that excessive clicking can be hazardous to the site. In that case maybe you can create a discussion on the matter. It will be double-purpose because the members will get to know that excessive clicking is not good and for those who don’t know about the clicks, maybe they can click now in support of the site.
