    Where's the best place to hire forum staff?

    Do you have any suggestions on where I could hire some reliable forum staff members? For instance, I have seen some people placing ads on promotion forums and that seems to get some responses. Then again, I don't want to hire someone who is working on too many other sites or could already be burdened down with multiple forum responsibilities.

    You can ask around at other similar forums to see if any of the staff there would be interested in working on your forum too. If the person is already working in your niche, they might not mind adding your forum to the list of places they mod for.

    You could post a link in your signature line on a webmaster forum, linking to a sticky thread on your own forum where you are accepting staff applications.

    webmaster forums are a good place to hire forum staff. You can post your add and choose the applicant that best suits you. However, you should be clear on how you are going to compensate the staff. I was once accepted to work as a forum staff. However, there was no compensation policy. Therefore, I rejected the offer. Next time, when I was accepted for a forum staff, the owner offered me 50 percent revenue. The forum was earning nothing, therefore, I had no choice except to reject the offer. No one will work for free. You should consider this.

    Forum staff can be hired from freelancing sites or marketplace,I have seen gigs like this on freelancing sites but your offer should be enticing enough to attract good ones, you could also check forums like this for users interested in manning forums like this, you would get a fast response.

    I am not an authority on this topic but my suggestion is your forum. Yeah, that’s the best place to get your staff because you already have their interest. But I’m talking about members who are in your forum for at least 6 months, new ones are not included as candidates. When you hire members of your forum, they will be easier to train or teach what to do because they already know your forum inside and out that includes the personalities of existing members.
