    What if you were the only person posting on your forum?

    If you were the only person posting on your forum, would you keep going, in hopes that someone else would register? Maybe you feel as if you could keep the forum going long enough until the advertising/promotion kicks in. Is this something you would do?

    It would be very unreasonable to just keep posting on your forum alone for months on end. You would really have to love your forum and believe in it to keep at it when no one else was there.

    I wouldn't drag it out too long with the dead forum. You can't spend your entire day posting on a dead forum and keeping it afloat, unless you are independently wealthy.

    That is a pathetic situation. I guess you need to have a business plan for your fourm to alleviate that sad state of condition. First, you can approach your relatives and friends for a stop-gap measure - they post even once a day just to give a semblance of life in your forum. Second, hire a poster or 2 that would make good posts. Third, promote your forum in social media relentlessy and with creative approach for readers to be interested in what your forum has to offer. You can also launch a sort of contest to lure new members. And if that doesn't work, then maybe you have to rethink about the theme and design of your forum, something's wrong with it.

    This is absolutely my assertion on having to be the only one posting on your forum. This is definitely a ridiculous situation one would find himself in. I wouldn't even post on my form alone for a week, I will definitely be bored to my skull.

    I once launched a forum. I was the only member doing the posting. Since I failed to invite members, I deleted my forum. Forum needs a discussion, if there is no discussion on the threads you have created, there is no point in having a forum. Forums build content from members' discussion. If there are no members and discussion, there will be no enough contents. If there are no enough contents, advertising is not possible. Even if you place ads, there will be no conversion.

    This actually means that something is actually wrong with the forum or that the individual failed to do necessary advertising and publicity of the forum in order to get members who would participate in it and make the forum lively.

    I agree that the forum needed to be promoted in order to gain membership. If you have friends and followers in social media perhaps you can ask their help to join your forum and make maybe 5 posts just for posterity. And if it remains that you are the only one posting in your forum then you might as well change it to a blog since there are no interactions. A blog is better and easier to manage than a forum.
