Honest, hardworking, person who is willing to check post quality, someone who follows the rules of the site, is respectful. Makes threads as well as responds to others. Is helpful.

Hopefully, a mod will be emotionally invested into the forum so if they see a problem poster, they can deal with it.

Someone who will treat everyone with respect. I hate it when forum mods think that they are better than everyone just because they are part of the staff. That is a huge turnoff for me.

This is my personal opinion on a mod or admin of a forum. Iprefer someone who acts like one of us. Just like in the office, when the boss
joins in the camaraderie, you get comfortable and the intimidation vanishes. In
a forum that intimidation is easy to overcome if the mod is engaging on the
boards with his replies and even new threads just like any of us members.
