Was there a specific reason you chose your current forum software? Did you make the choice after careful review? Did you ask opinions of other forum owners before choosing a forum software?
When I first started my forum, they only offered the choice of phpBB and SMF. I tried phpBB first and didn't like it, so I went with SMF. Now, sometime later, the same hosting company offers MyBB along with other free forum software (Softaculous installation).
