What Are You Struggling With Right Now?

Hello SEOClerks users,
I just thought I'd ask you what you are struggling with, in your freelance career?
Try to share details so others can help you come up with good tips.

I have been struggling with services in general these last couple of weeks. I can't come up with any good options at all and I really want to expand my business even further.. But, I would like to do that in a "new" niche/field.

Do you have any ideas, tips or tricks to share? .. And how about you? Have you been struggling recently? Perhaps even today?

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

Diversifying a bit is important from time to time. Otherwise you end up being stagnant. I suggest you try to come up with a package kind of service maybe - so that you make use of different skills and combine different but related services in a way that could entice buyers more than the usual/traditional services.

Personally at the moment I am struggling with too many orders and too little time! I like it when I get an order, but at times it gets way too much as there are too many requests within a short period of time - thus - I am too busy, and too stressed out as I do not want to turn down buyers or make them wait too long.

Thank you EliteWriter for the suggestion. Much appreciated. I do have been thinking of something like this for quite some time now, but I just can't decide on "the best" package. That's my biggest problem. I have tons of ideas but rarely put them into action. They usually just ends up in nothing at all.. This is a huge obstacle for me.

It's like standing in front of a glass wall. I can see everything crystal clear on the other side but I just can't go through.. And I suppose that's also due to the fact that my business is running rather smoothly at this point, so this might be caused by uncertainty.. Even though I'm not certain of it.

The main thing that I always struggle with is getting the programming done for something custom I need done to my website. I struggle with this because I'm horrible with coding and programming lol What Are You Struggling With Right Now? I have a great designer, but he even is horrible with programming so that's why I'm always struggling with this.

Right now I have a website in the final stages of production before I can launch it, and the thing holding me back is the programming because I can't do it and my designer can't do the programming either. I feel vulnerable and at the mercy of this programmer I hired because if he takes 5 more days or 5 more weeks, I can't really do anything about it except fire him and hire someone else. The only problem with that is I will lose all the work that has already been done by my programmer and I'll burn a bridge that could benefit me later on down the road.

Another thing I struggle with is finding good programmers that are affordable. Sure I can outsource all my work to India and pay 1/10th of the price I could if I hired an American, but there are plenty of problems that come with outsourcing to India. The main problem with outsourcing to India is the language barrier and not being able to communicate with the programmer. A few times I've hired a programmer from India and he said he could do everything, but soon after we start he says he didn't understand exactly what I needed and now can't finish. Luckily I'm smarter than the average bear and never pay up front to any designer or programmer that I don't have a good business relationship with. Another problem is professionalism, It's difficult to find someone that is going to treat your website like their own and not see it just as a paycheck. I've only ever found a couple programmers and designers that will go out of their way to program or code something for me that wasn't discussed about in detail, which is awesome and now they always get work sent to them when I need somthing done What Are You Struggling With Right Now?

I'm struggling with summer activities, and getting things done in a timely manner. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed that I don't even want to turn my computer on, or open my email account. However, for my clients, and myself I want to make sure I spend enough time to work and have fun, for me. I love freelancing, and I could probably work out something to make both issues a nonissue however in the end it always works out.

Also, one more thing is, is competition that has lower prices but lower quality of work, this really irks me and it deflates the marketplace. How do these people get away with lowering of price and the lowering of quality? Why would a buyer go elsewhere when you can offer so much more?

My struggles in my freelancing are 2 things. First is the time that I cannot provide due to my office job and some important matters. Second is the destructive rating that some forum owners have given me. The low rating really hurt my pride because I don't deserve it. Unfortunately the rater is anonymous so it is useless to complain. That discouraging situation is giving me reasons to quit freelancing.
