What are the best places to buy websites?

Flippa is quite good but there are lots of people who try to sell low quality websites for a high price and some even purchase traffic to make their website look active. I have seen people sell websites that look active but actually it is fake traffic. You can easily see this by looking at their past sales. You see their old ads page that says their website has an alexa of 34,000 which was sold like 2 years ago and then now it has an alexa of about 5,000,000.

I like buying websites on active webmaster forums. Of course, I always look at reviews before buying and analyse the website to make sure it has potential. The disadvantage with this is that you don’t have a middleman so you can get scammed but chances are, you will use an escrow service for large transactions. A few examples of good webmaster forums are Digital Point, v7n.

I like Flippa. I agree there are a lot of low quality websites being sold there, but there are good ones too. Just like any marketplace, you have to sift through the crud to find the diamonds. The key on Flippa, I have found, is income. Put a minimum income in your search listings and you'll virtually eliminate all the junk. A site with fake traffic will not have any income.

If you do bid, you should also verify the income. Not just by the screenshots but the owners financial statements relating to the website. You'll want to see their PayPal or Adsense earnings and again, not just screenshots. You'll want to view it live with some sort of remote viewing where they login and show you the transactions. This is good business sense for any type of purchase of an asset/business though.

I've not heard mention of V7N in years! I'll have to visit there again, I forgot it even existed.

Hi I think another post Mike discuss about Where is the best place to sell your website today. And there has recovered some answer where you can buy website from best place. Firstly I would like to say again Flippa one of the best and popular site for selling or buying website where more than 800000 registered buyer and seller. And beside BuySellWebsite this is also another excellent marketplace for selling or buying website and GeekVillage may 3rd one for buying and selling website. iWebTool another one, it is also forum where you can buy domain, scrip etc. And before purchasing any script must to know which robertman11 adviced in his post.

I have mostly found the website selling place on flippa. I have seen the people selling the stuff on warrior forum. And they have the website flipping section too. You may find that some of the best places to buy website are not one but many. It depends on your business goals. And how you wish to have the conversion.

I have never bought a website but I have been trying to sell a couple of websites since months. I have tried using flippa service, but I am not satisfied with the site. Listing your website costs money, however, they never promote your website fairly, they only give chances to the websites that have used their premium listing service. I have not tried webmaster forums to sell my websites, however, I am interested in trying this option.

Beside sites that mentioned above then I would to go with forums, it is great places to buy and selling websites.
For examples, Digitalpoint, WebmasterSun or V7n, they are great webmaster forum where more people are wanting to buy websites for their business.

I have listed my websites on forum promotion dot net. I even received queries, however, I have not sold anything on this forum. I have an account on webmastersun, however, I have not listed my website yet.
I hear a lot about digitalpoint, but have not checked the site yet.

@vinaya, I believe members on forumpromotion are newbies hence they have less budget and just wanted free website/hosting.
As I knew then to list your website on webmastersun.com you need to have a good contribution before posting on Buy and Sell Websites section https://www.webmastersun.com/forum...nd-sell-websites
For digitalpoint then you need to have enough 3 likes for your posts to post on their site marketplace https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/sites.52/
Anyway, webmastersun and digitalpoint are big webmaster and marketing forums where you can get potential customers for your products/websites selling.

Hope that helped.

I have a account on webmastersun. I have been a paid poster on this forum sometime back (via postloop). I have listed my website, but the post does not even receive views.
I recently, found that a website called freemarket(owned by freelancer dot com) is also a good place to sell domains and websites. There is no listing fee, however, you have an option to buy premium services. I have received an offer from a buyer, however, I am yet to close the deal. Let see what happens.

I checked your post there and its having 653 views unless it was not your offer.

I am just curious what is price for listing service as premium? Except Flippa and forums then I didn't use others and I used to get good results when advertising on forums with free listing.

Do you mean, my offer on webmaster sun has 653 views.last time I checked was none. I will go ahead and check the forum.
I have never used premium service on freemarket therefore, I do not know the premium listing fees. However, this platform allows you to list your website or domains for sale without any fees.
I have also listed my domains and websites on buyselldomains dot club. However, this site does not get have any traffic.

Many people would obviously recommend Flippa, but I'd say you should give a try to Payme0. It might be less popular, but it's a good place to get a website as well. The pricing is decent and the platform is user friendly.
Might I ask for what purpose you need a website?
