    Can clicks on Google search results increase your SERP?

    I have seen bot for sale at Seoclerks which provide clicks on your links provided on Google search pages which claims that it possibly help ranking up your links on these search results so i am curious if that kind of trick really help.

    If anyone used this bot or similar ways to click on search results, please share your thoughts if it helping to increase SERP.

    I have actually case studied this theory myself not too long ago, using a service called Crowdsearch.me by Dan Anton.

    For those that haven't heard of it, it is basically a network of "real people". who are assigned to "search and click" on your website, via a Google search and your keyword. Pretty cool!

    You can also assign them to stay on your site, and even click around to help lower bounce rates etc.

    So anyway, what I found, was that the clicks to sites already rankings anywhere beyond the 2nd page of Google, and onwards, made little to no difference whatsoever. (Small fluctuations, but that is normal for any site)

    Here is one of the sites I used in the case study.

    The sites that I tested on page 1, did actually move. One of them, was for my personal blog that had been outranked for my own domain name haha (embarrassing I know, but I do no SEO to it in my defense) It's back on top, you'll be glad to know.

    So to summarize, my conclusion is that it works for sites low down on page 1 and possibly on the top of page 2, but anything beyond that, you probably won't notice any difference. As per the case study above. Can clicks on Google search results increase your SERP?

    Hey Barry Can clicks on Google search results increase your SERP? Lovely to see you here and thank you for giving such an awesome and detailed answer to this question.

    I thought that the amount of Google hits you had on organic search did make an impact on SERP but I find services selling organic traffic suspicious... I thought it had to be bots and there isn't much point in that is there?

    Are you sure it was a bot to click your natural rankings or was it to click on your adwrods ads?

    Getting a bot to click on your adwords ads will get your account banned pretty quick and it's almost impossible to get one back unless you use someone elses information.

    Now if it's a bot to click your link in the natural rankings then I don't see whey it would help much in the SERPs because it's just a click. It doesn't prove that your website is authentic, popular, provides valuable information and many other things. But I could be wrong since I never tried to click on my own links lol Can clicks on Google search results increase your SERP?

    If Google, Yahoo! and Bing increased rankings based on clicks then I can see this as being abused by almost anyone that can get a script coded. I can pay $20 to someone here on SeoClerks and get a script to search my domain name and click the top link a few times. If the theory that clicks on a naturally ranked link increases your search engine rankings then this would be how most people would abuse it. With the script and/or software you'd need a feature for proxy rotation in order to show Google, Yahoo! and Bing that you're getting clicks from everywhere and not just where you're located.

    But with all that being said, I don't think that getting clicks will increase your rankings because anyone can do this and abuse it fairly easily. This could be a factor with the tiny search engines, but not Google, Yahoo! and Bing.

    Not Adwords ads, but links on Google search, and this is bot i am talking about. It doesn't seems to me that it's possible to rank higher this way, but this seller obviously claims that's possible, so i am still curious...

    So, this software basically finds your links with the help of keywords you've entered and then clicks them..? Sounds like it's just like any other traffic bot with one huge difference. This one claims to click your links and that you'll rank better on google by doing this.. I find that very hard to believe.

    I do understand that you'll get traffic to your website. That's kind of the whole point with traffic bots, right? - But why and how would google rank your site higher due to some clicks on certain links.. That's totally new to me. I've never heard of anything like this at all. Also note that the bot you've mentioned have been for sale during the last 3 years, so even if the bot has been updated during this time, I suppose they've claimed to rank your site higher by these clicks ever since they launched this.

    Sounds hard to believe to me too and that's why i asked this question to hear your opinions on this matter. I also see that there is many buyers divided with positive and negative thoughts about this bot and it's success in ranking where these positive reviews made me wandering so much about it. I know that Google tracking clicks on certain links / search results, but to use it in SERP algorithm, sounds very unprofessional because it could be then manipulated in many different ways....

    This is interesting, however it sounds a bit fishy to me. For starters traffic bots equal fake traffic to me, and I would not be willing to use them. I prefer normal internet traffic gained in a proper manner. Moreover I cannot quite understand how this could have an effect from an SERP point of view? I do not think it would help in any way other than leading one to do something somewhat fake and illicit to a certain extent.

    I was not actually interested in bot or fake traffic, but just in possibilities to rank higher with link clicks on Google search. The bot i mention only gives me idea to think about if it's possible or not. However, most of us still disagree more or less Can clicks on Google search results increase your SERP?     Hi ?anwebservices thanks for your nice question. And I think we are talking more than about real traffic or bot traffic rather than can click Google search results increase your SERP. As per as we know you cannot compare anyway with real traffic which we are getting sever ways like social network, forum or by advertising. And on the other hand bot traffic obviously harmful for you adword and google should not take it easily. But here also has classification in the bot traffic and all bot traffic activity or generating process are not same. Some of bot traffic working as like genuine human traffic, they will not conversation but they will click in your inner website and stay will long like 5 minutes or 30 minutes etc. And this type of quality bot traffic will not harmful for search result rather it may helpful to increase Google SERFP result. Maybe I am wrong but I testified for Alexa and I got result dramatically on Alexa rank.

    I tried a service like this a long time ago and it did nothing for my website SERP. What it did do is mess up my traffic reports big time so I didn't know how well my website was really doing with regards to organic visitors.

    I don't know all the technical stuff behind it and maybe it has worked for other people. I can only say what my experience was.

    As with some of the comments above, I have also read several discussions that clicking on the link of your site on the search list has a slight effect and I think the effect is noticeable for sites with a low ranking because the jump is visible like from rank 35 to rank 34 or higher. Perhaps if the link of the site is on page 1 then the slight effect of the clicks will not really matter at all.
