What is the breakdown of search engine traffic?

My question is, which search engine gets the most traffic, which gets the least, which gets a little?

Does anyone have a breakdown of the market share that is from 2016?

I know that Google has the biggest market share and they were around 80% of the total online searches, but the most recent statistic I could find was from 2013. And we all know, with search engines at least, a few years can mean there's a huge shift in traffic What is the breakdown of search engine traffic?

How much traffic do the lesser known search engines get? The ones like duckduckgo and askjeeves for example. I actually don't even know if those still exist since I've never used them lol. There's another obscure search engine out there called something like mywebsearch. The only reason I know of that one is because they pretty much give your website a virus and switch your default search engine to their own What is the breakdown of search engine traffic? so sad.

I would think that Google is feeling the heat of Yahoo! and Bing since they are coming up quick. I noticed that Yahoo! and Bing now combined their search results and run off of the Bing search results, so technically it's Bing and Yahoo! news lol. I use bing all the time and absolutely love it, but a lot of people don't switch search engines until promted to or they accidentally click "Yes, switch my default search engine to Bing" when they are updating some software.

I know Bing isn't the most popular based on search results, but I think it's making it's way to the top of the big 3. Google is most likely going to be king for a while, but even kings fall at some point ;)

Thanks,

Razzy

This is the worldwide breakdown of the search engine’s market share last month. As you can see Google consists of around 70% of the market share and Bing is second with 12% with Baidu being third place. As you can see the smaller search engines like AOL and ask don’t even have a 1% market share so they seem to still exist but not doing so well. I personally only use Google and haven’t really properly used other search engine. What I don’t like about the other search engines is that it doesn’t seem to be as simple as Google. What is the breakdown of search engine traffic?

wow, pretty sweet What is the breakdown of search engine traffic?

I thought for sure that Bing/Yahoo had around 30% of the market share. I wasn't expecting them to have under 20%

I knew Google was still king lol What is the breakdown of search engine traffic? I wonder if Bing/Yahoo! will be able to push more and take some of the market from Google in the next few years. Bing came out of nowhere, sort of, and now is past Yahoo in the shares, but it seems that Google has a strong hold on the market due to all the android phones out there. Maybe Bing/Yahoo/Microsoft should come out with their own phones and apps in order to compete with Googles beast mode play store What is the breakdown of search engine traffic?

I do agree that Google does have it set up to be user friendly. It's pretty basic and you know where everything will be when you search. It seems that Bing is trying more of the visual approach and making it more appealing to a younger generation and they're playing the long game by targeting people who are younger and they can build them up on Bing and hope that those people share Bing with their families. It's a really long game, like 30 to 40 years, but Bing is owned by microsoft and I know for a fact they aren't hurting for money What is the breakdown of search engine traffic?

Now I haven't bought a new computer in a while but I would assume that whenever you have something new by microsoft, you have Bing as a search engine by default. I could be wrong though and I'd love for someone to share their thoughts on this.

The stat shows Bing with 11.94 percent market share on the second place and Baidu with 8.53 on the third. However, I read somewhere that Baidu is now the second most used search engine.

That was a great breakdown and I am also intrigued by the huge share Google has. I would have thought that Bing and Yahoo were going to have a higher share of search engine traffic, but they obviously have a long way to go. I would say that Google is not going to be met by any other search engine ever! There is something about it that it is as if whoever wants to search something online automatically types Google, and even the fact that there is the term 'googling' used often instead of searching - it shows how deeply immersed Google is in practically any internet user's life!

I also have an impression that no other search engines are going to beat Google. Google might lose the market share from 69 percent to 60 or even 50 percent for that matter, however, no other search engine will outrank Google.

Hi think it should be Google and I search some result about search engine traffic and I saw Google get most traffic in 2016 which almost 70% if I compare with bing, yahoo, AOL, ASK. Bing only convert traffic almost 12% and his nearest competitor is Yahoo, which about 8% and both of them 4% different where other search engine like Ask (0.25%) and ALO (0.14%), Baidu 8.5% get search engine traffic. Here clearly state that Google get very noticeable traffic in 2016. And most of the people searching resource by using Google which almost 6 times more than second one.

I am not aware about statistics for the traffic from search engines but I’m guessing that Google gives the biggest number. Well, we have to admit that Google is the giant in search engines and the number of users of Google cannot be measured compared to other search engines. And with the second place, it is a toss up between Bing and Yahoo although I would still say Yahoo has the edge since it has more users than Bing.
