What programming languages do you need to know to create a mobile friendly website?

One of the SEO trends of 2016 is to have a website with good user experience. In order to have a good user experience, you must have a mobile friendly website to give mobile users the best experience. My question is what programming languages do you need to know to create a mobile friendly website? I know that you will need CSS to style your website but as far as I know CSS itself won’t make the website mobile friendly.

Also, what is the difference between a responsive theme and a mobile theme? What are the benefits of the two?

Hi MasterA,

Nowadays all old and new websites are becoming responsive , to improve the user experience. It's very important to build a responsive website, because nobody will visit your desktop website from their mobile. A responsive website is like "water" that fits anywhere .

You can build a responsive website from scratch, using only HTML,CSS and JAVASCRIPT.

Difference between Responsive theme and Mobile Theme is :

Responsive theme and Mobile theme are similar, but the only difference is that Mobile theme is built only for smartphones and tablets.

Thank you.

Having a mobile friendly website is critical nowadays as more and more people are using their mobile devices to access sites. So if you have a site, you need to make sure that it is mobile friendly. To do so one can use various programming languages. Some of the most used for mobile sites include HTML5, Java, C++, Objective-C, and Swift.
The language that you choose for your site's mobile development can make a huge difference between either having a successful mobile site or ending up with a frustrating and quite useless one. There are options when it comes to languages, and so make sure to choose wisely.

HTML and CSS alone are sufficient to have the responsive website. You don't need any other language. Responsive layout is done with the CSS. And this layout is rendered on the HTML layout. So it can be good enough for the responsive mobile website. I have seen some sites making use of JS. But in my personal observation it is not at all required.

I have a background in HTML but that was for computer use only. I really don’t know if HTML will be sufficient when it comes to the design of the website for mobile. But maybe if you need to enhance your site to be mobile friendly, my option is to hire a good web designer to do it for you. But you can be the one to test the design so you will be satisfied when the job is done.
