Being tough on yourself will keep you humble and likely help you succeed

It doesn't matter what you're doing, you need to be tough on yourself if you want to be successful online.  You need to take that extra step when writing content and do 10 articles instead of just doing 5.  If you're running an SEO campaign, you need to build 10 more high-quality backlinks and keep pushing yourself to get on new platforms and build your brand.  If you're not pushing yourself, you're not pushing your business, and that means you won't be as successful as you possibly can.

The more you push yourself, the less time you have for an ego, and the more humble you will be when talking to everyone around you.  Egos kill businesses, so you should try to lose that asap and try to succeed in your industry.  Being tough on yourself is one of the key things that all successful people do.  They look at every little thing they do and think "I could have done that better" and the next time around the do it better, which eventually turns into the best system or service on the market and they make millions Being tough on yourself will keep you humble and likely help you succeed

You'll always be pushing forward
If you're tough on yourself, you'll always be pushing yourself towards success even if you don't think you are.  You need to be critical and learn from your mistakes since that's the main way you'll learn.  No one will hold your hand through web design, online marketing, SEO, programming, etc. so you need to do it yourself.

Tell yourself you're going to work 8 hours a day for the next 10 days and be tough on yourself if you take a day off.  If you miss a day, work for 12 hours the next 2 days to make up for it, and you'll see your work compile in a way that will bring in more traffic or sales.

You'll hit goals, but always be looking at the next one
If you're tough on yourself, you'll always be hitting your goals because you'll be pushing yourself to do just one more thing.  You'll finish 10 tasks and then think "I need to do that 11th task so I only have 9 to do tomorrow!" and then you'll want to do the 12th, 13th, and 14th task to the point where you're doing tomorrows work right now and your work week turns into just 2 days invested.  The rest of the week you still need to push yourself in order to get the most done, which will push you over your competitors, and you'll succeed in everything you do.

Never be happy with profits, always want more
You can always get more traffic, you can always post more content, you can always make acquire more customers, and you can always net more profits each day as long as your tough on yourself and constantly pushing.  Never focus on your profits, just focus on boosting your sales and always want more.  You need to constantly work until you can't work anymore, and you'll realize you just did a week of work in just a couple of days.

If you can keep this up for a month, or a year, the work will compile and you will be able to succeed in a much shorter time frame than anyone else in the same industry.

The person who does more tends to succeed over the person who does the minimum.

If you aren't tough on yourself, your competitors will be
When it comes to business, your competitors won't care if you fail and they will actually try to make sure you do, so you need to be tough on yourself so this doesn't happen.  Don't worry about your competitors and their rankings, push yourself to get top rankings over time and make them worry about you.  If you are tough on yourself, top rankings for just a few keywords won't be satisfying enough and you'll want more.  Drive yourself to be the best and you will see customers flocking to you from all over the world Being tough on yourself will keep you humble and likely help you succeed

In conclusion
In order to be successful online, you need to be tough on yourself and stop procrastinating.  You need to tell yourself "Get off your ass and get to work" because if you aren't doing this, you'll get left behind by your competitors who are.
