    How to get good comments on your blog

    How do you encourage people to leave good quality comments on your blog, not just spam or links? What are some ways to get people to respond back and create a conversation with your readers?

    Ask really good questions at the end of each blog post and encourage your readers to respond back with answers.

    Get in there and talk back to your readers when they leave comments. Don't just ask people to leave a comment and then not talk back. People like to know you are listening, if they take the time to speak.

    Also, promise to pick the best comment to feature on a new post later. The promise of attention might inspire a reader to contribute their best suggestion in comment form.

    I've often noticed that when I take time to comment on a blog regularly, the blog owner will come by my blog and make comments. Now I only comment on blogs where the blog owner will return a comment occasionally. That helps me get more high quality blog comments.

    This is also my question because there are so few commentson my blogs. Maybe I have to solicit comments from my personal friends who
    would give me support in that area. As they say, it is one thing to read the
    blog and commenting is another thing. Maybe the blog should be a little
    controversial so it will evoke an opinion from the readers. However, the blog
    that I was co-writing is currently hibernating and probably my next exposure in
    blog writing is when I launch my own blog.

    It depends on how good the article you put out on your blog is. I mean it does not necessarily need you have that knowledge of how your readers view the message, but writing better contents and asking some nice questions at the end will make them want to participate by giving good comments.
