Christmas Gifts/X-Mas gifts for regular clients. - What do you think?

Christmas gifts are amazing. We all love them. We like to get them and we love to give them away too. - To actually give someone a Christmas gift is usually worth way more to people than to get something from others.

That being said, at this day and age, and to you, as a freelancer..
- Will you also implement this thing into your business somehow?

I mean, will you show your regular clients that you appreciate them in more ways than just "thank you for your order"?

Will you give them something special? - Something undisclosed? - Because of Christmas?

I've done this previously. I've sent my regular clients a huge discount during Christmas, as a gift. - And most of them have appreciated this act, and they've used their discounts because they've felt good about it. Because they felt like they mattered to you.

Do your clients matter to you, and will you show them your appreciation by offering them something extra during these Holidays?

Usually I just offer my services at a discounted rate. I do not often hand out freebies because it is a little tricky when you sell PHP scripts, also it's a huge loss of earnings. I have never seemed to go wrong when marking services on sale during the holiday season. I usually start discount my services a couple days before Christmas, and let it end a couple weeks after.. usually around the 2nd week of January.

If I was buying SEO services, I would definitely check if the seller was offering holiday freebies, just to support that seller because they are offering a gift.

That's actually a great idea, you clients are like your businesses associates and just like in real business you need to impress them every know and then to keep them interested in your services and also loyal. Christmas presents are a great way of doing just that!

I would send a real present instead of just offering discounts. It can cost a lot less and it will impress them a lot more compared with the discounts, I also hate heavily discounting my work since I won't end up with much at the end of the day.

I would send a real present instead of just offering discounts.

Imagine how cool it would be to send your clients a post card with a discount (or a balance) or something! - Just like Ionicware sends their post cards to their users. (To us). - That would be awesome! Christmas Gifts/X-Mas gifts for regular clients. - What do you think?

But yes, I can totally see your point here. With sending your clients actual "real life" presents instead of discount offers. That would impress them way more than "just a discount". I do think that discounts are "the perfect" gift though. Especially on a marketplace like SEOClerks, but if you have personal clients, then I'd imagine real life gifts would be way cooler! (And more appreciated by your clients too.)

I think offering your regular clients a huge Christmas discount is a great idea, especially since once everyone gets back into the swing of work once all the festivities are over we are all feeling just that little bit poorer!

It will help you get sales and of course your buyers will appreciate any discounts at this time of year.

For me it is also about Goodwill. I may not use the discount but the fact I have received it will make me feel appreciated and happy anyway.

I might provide a Christmas discount to hope that sales will increase but I won't normally provide them a gift. I want customers to come back and purchase more services but I don't want to sell myself short just because its Christmas.

If you could afford to get physical gifts for your offline clients, that would be awesome. However, I think you have to do a kind of discount which is going to benefit every of your client that would want you to do a certain work for them during this period. Just find a discount to every work and make them feel appreciated.

I'm also wondering how to give my clients real gifts since we are continents away. Maybe the gift-giving for Christmas can wait for next year when my earnings become substantial enough as to afford me to buy gifts. Our tradition here is to give gifts no matter how small.
