    Proper keyword placement in your article

    Where is the best place to include a keyword in your article?

    I'm already aware that keywords should be included into the article title.

    I've always tried to include main keyword at least once in the body of the article, but I want to know where in the article is best for ranking.

    You need to include your keyword as many times as necessary to properly describe your topic.

    Obviously, you won't want to spam your keyword all over your article, but you should still include it a few good times at various points in your article for clarity.

    Try to include your main keyword in the first 100 to 150 words. This will alert Google that this specific word is relevant to the subject and increase the chances your article will be ranked for that keyword. Don't forget to include synonyms for your main keyword that better describe your content.

    You need to add the keyword in the starting of the first paragraph of the content. Afterwards in each paragraph make sure that you use the keyword at least once. One of the most important things is that you use the keyword under the Heading Tags (H1, H6).

    I agree that you have to be prudent when it comes to the number of appearance of a keyword on your content. However, doing too little or too much is not easy to determine. I admit that I cannot say how many keywords can appear on a web page. There is one discussion that said about 5% of the content which means if the content is 100 words then it is all right for the keyword to appear 5 times.
