    High quality content always attracts backlinks. If you publish a high quality, content rich blog or site, you won't even have to ask for backlinks, others will voluntarily backlink to you, as a service to their readers. If a blogger is having trouble getting editorial (or freely given) backlinks, their content might not be the highest quality.

    Bad design could be another reason for lack of high quality backlinks. Most bloggers and site owners won't backlink to a free hosted site (cluttered with ads), no matter how good the content. Invest in high quality hosting. And, then publish good articles. Go easy on the ads, making sure they are well integrated. In this way, you are inviting backlinks from other bloggers.

    Try to get high quality backlinks from very credible sites (high page rank sites/forums/blogs/guest posts/wiki, etc). If you can get do follow links, go for those. But, don't turn down no follow links as those are valuable too. And, when posting a backlink, don't just put up a link and leave. Take time to surround your link with valuable information relating to the site being linked to. This is important, with upcoming changes to Google's algorithm.

    I am struggling to get backlinks. The best backlink practice is organic backlink, organic backlink means someone gives you backlink voluntarily. However, to generate organic backlink, you need high quality content. having high quality contents is also not enough, you need high traffic. Youn can get traffic from social media, search engines, email marketing. For social media traffic, your content must have elements to go viral. For search engine traffic your website must be ranked high, for email marketing you need a list.
