What are some helpful tips to remember when choosing and registering domain names?

Choosing a domain name is critical. It is after all the name of your site. In order to choose it well you may take some time to decide how you could manage to incorporate a keyword within it, while keeping it short and memorable. At times the domain name you choose may have been taken, but I do not think that suggestions provided should be viewed dismissively as they can be actually better than your original domain name. Once you decide on a domain name you then need to register it. To do so you need to make sure to choose the domain name registration company that you can trust. What other tips do you add to this?

When I register a domain name I think of what can easily be branded. Branding a new domain name is difficult, but it's definitely worth it in the long run. It's definitely good to get your keyword in the domain name even though it's not as big of a benefit to SEO as it was a few years back. Getting your keyword in the domain is like an advertisement that lets people know what your website is about prior to typing the domain name to the search bar or clicking on a link they find online.

If you're going the route of making a short domain name that you want to brand but doesn't really fit a niche, like Twitter.com, then you're fighting an uphill battle and it could be worth it in the end if you don't really need to make money from the website in the first few years. If you have an investor, then you're going to be able to brand this pretty easily lol What are some helpful tips to remember when choosing and registering domain names?

If your domain is taken, look for something similar. I know that when I searched for a few of my popular websites I couldn't find the domain I wanted but after a few hours of searching I found a better domain than the original What are some helpful tips to remember when choosing and registering domain names? I always try to think of something short and sweet that is also rememberable at the same time. Having too many words in your domain is never a good thing since people are lazy and don't want to type much even if it benefits them because your website is the best in the world. Try to keep the domain down to two words and two to four syllables. There are some exceptions like SEOclerks since "SEO" is a well known thing among webmasters and is now seen as one word. So there's "SEO" and "Clerks" which fits perfectly into my model. Short and sweet, two words and two to four syllables What are some helpful tips to remember when choosing and registering domain names?

try to find an attractive, short and easily remembered domain name......
try to get a domain with your product, service name... it will promote the website and your product/service very much.
Be more careful when you choose the top level domain(extension ie .com .org ) try to get a recognized TLD which is revevent to your site.
Also buy from a well reputed seller...

The first criteria for having a domain is the right name. Your choice for name should depend on number of factors, for example,
the niche of your website should reflect on your domain. When I was ready to launch a website on lingwerie niche, I went for "sexybra" as the domain name.
The second criteria is having keywords. Since my website was on lingerie niche, "sexy bra" in my sexybra domain is the targeted keyword.
The third criteria is shot and easy to remember. Did you notice sexybra is a two word domain which is also easy to remember.

Choosing a title for my article gives me a headache that’s why I always ask around for opinion on the matter. Most likely that will also be the case if I would have my own site. It is not easy to think of a domain name that is short but catchy much more it should be descriptive of the niche. With the billions of existing domain names now perhaps I will just settle for a longer domain name but still descriptive.
