Yes, if you have a website then you should consider setting up a blog on it because blog has unique content which helps in improving SEO of the website. Moreover, it is hard to rank a website with multiple keywords. Same is not in the case of blogs. You can rank your blog articles with multiple keywords. I also do have a blog where I write about Digital Marketing.

Blogs are made for the readers and when the blog gets a lot of regular readers, the regular uploading of new blogs is imperative. And having new blogs means fresh content which is the most important element when it comes to SEO. At least, that’s my opinion that contents is tops when it comes to the SEO capability of the website. That’s why a commercial website with a blog is double-purpose. It gets traffic from blog readers and also gets a good ranking in the SEO.

It is true that when a blog gets more visitors on a daily basis, the rankings will increase. This is one key element that would be difficult to adjust in Google updates and that has made it possible for those popular blogs to be among the top 5 sites that pop up when we use some keywords to search for anything on the search box.

The truth with blogs being important for SEO is that the recent Google updates have adjusted some things which makes sites to rank higher to include the power of quality contents to influence that. This is the reason that many of those that owns blogs have even gone to the extent of paying guest bloggers to write quality contents for their sites which they use to ensure that their sites rank higher on Google Search engine.
