6 ways to help boost your ad conversion rates

When you're running a company you'll likely come to the point where you need to start running some ads in order to bring in new clients.  This is a normal step for any business, but some people running the ads don't know that you can optimize them in order to help boost your conversions rates.  You may already be doing some of the things that I will be covering in this discussion, and you might not even know you're doing it, but I urge you to read through all of these points to see what you're doing and what you need to improve on 6 ways to help boost your ad conversion rates

We all know that high conversion rates are a good thing, but not knowing what you're doing will make it so your rates will drop fairly quick, so you need to study up and optimize the best you can in order to stop wasting money on advertising and only profit when you're running a campaign for yourself or your business.

Below you will find the key points of boosting your conversions rates, and they are:

Add in some social proof
Have you ever come across an ad that says "Join our 5,000,000 happy members!"?  Well, that's social proof that people are already in love with their product or service and it will likely increase your conversion rates.  If you can do anything that shows people are already loving your product or service you will likely see people signing up with you more often without having to do much research about your product or service.

Now, if you have an expensive product or service you'll notice people will still check you out and leave, but your conversions should still spike slightly.

Bring people in with an incentive
People like discounts, coupons, and free stuff so that's what you'll want to play around with in order to boost your conversions.  If someone sees your ad along with a competitors, and yours says "Save 20% on your next order!" they will likely go with you instead of the other guy who is fully priced.  What's really awesome about this is your product could come out to $95 after the discount and your competitor is selling for $96 without a discount and you'll still get the majority of the sales because people will think they're getting a much better service even if it's pretty much the same lol.

There should be some sense of urgency within your titles or descriptions
When people think they might lose something they're more likely to sign up right away without second guessing it because they don't want to lose out.  You might never take down the 48 hours until the sale is over, but the person viewing your ads and pages might not realize this, increasing your conversions.

People don't like to miss out on something no matter what it is, so if you have a sense of urgency and make them feel like they're going to miss out they will be more willing to sign up.

A/B testing should always be done to see what works and what doesn't
No matter what you're doing, you should always be A/B testing in order to make sure what works and what doesn't.  If you don't know what ads are working, you might be deleting the ones that are bringing in all the sales while the lesser performing ones are still live and getting a few clicks here and there.

Increasing your conversions is what A/B testing is all about since you're removing the ads that don't bring in the bacon and only keeping the ones that keep the lights on lol.

Build custom audiences and show them specific ads
When you have an ad up and running you'll always want a pixel on your landing page so you can show someone who has already been on your website a new ad that will entice them to come back in.  You can pair this up with an incentive or by creating a sense of urgency in order to lure them back in to save money or not miss out.

Custom audiences will build over time, which means you won't be able to do this right away after your ads are live, but over a few weeks or months, you will notice your retargeted ads are bringing interested people back into your website who are now making a sale.

Always Be Consistent!
People want to know you're consistent, so do just that and watch your conversions increase.  If you are all over the place with your content, posts, ads, services, products, etc. people won't know what you're doing and they will be confused.  We all know that one of the worst things you can do in any business is to confuse the potential client that is in front of you, so you always need to be consistent in anything you do online in order to make more money 6 ways to help boost your ad conversion rates

In conclusion
Boosting your conversions isn't always the easiest thing to do and it doesn't matter how long you've been working online.  It won't be something you can do overnight and see instant results, it takes time and knowledge in order to do it right and see the sales start rolling in.  You need to be patient and comb through the data that comes in with your ads, then figure out what is working and stick with it.  The more conversions you get, the more money you make obviously 6 ways to help boost your ad conversion rates

I agree with you.As the saying goes, Patience is a virtue. Not in an instant we can have money from our job or from our business since it takes and how long are we going to wait it.

Love the idea about incentives like discounts and coupons. Sometimes having that kind of incentive works to get a customer through the door for the first time, and as long as you handle the sale well, you may have scored yourself a lifetime customer.

Yes, I agree with you. Incentives are good attraction to convince clients to patronized products/services. This will hold their interest especially when they are satisfied with the services. Happy clients means more income.

The "limited time" offer works quite well most of the time.

I've seen a few such offers on billboards: "up to 30% off this week only" and you keep seeing the same ad for 3 months! Few people want to miss out on what seems to be a good deal. Executed perfectly it is fail-proof way to boast conversions.

Having a custom audience is great, because that way you know what that audience wants (I speak from personal experience). I remember having one social page on FB to attract the audience, I even made ads to increase human traffic, but it has failed. Instead, I made several social pages, each for a custom audience (diferent tastes and interests) and guess what? It worked. Both social pages are booming.

That was an interesting analogy. Sometimes some people doesn't understand the value of advertising so they don't give enough importance in it. Advertising is a great factor in boosting your sales. This is a very helpful information. Thanks for sharing.

Well thank you preacher! Another excellent sermon. When you say "Always be consistent", you're preaching to the choir. If there's one thing I should get award, its being consistent and persistent. LOL. I am slowly but surely building my social proofs and I am also revisiting old content and reconstructing my titles so that they are more "carrot-like", i.e. enticing. The other two tips, I am working on them.

Limited time offers are a great way to attract people. I should know because I'm also a victim. I feel like I'm losing out on a great opportunity that I'm forced to like and follow a page. Sometimes even purchase a product since I'm that convinced.

I agree. I am also a victim of those limited time offers. They are like bombs ticking that anytime it will explode. It is like I am losing time and I have to grab the opportunity to buy that product. So in the end, I just caught myself buying that product just because of the limited time event. It is indeed effective to boost up your sales.

I guess in a way it tricks your mind into thinking that you'd save 30% on this item but in reality you just spent 70% on something. It's not the same as saving. What I do is that I only buy when it's sale season. I avoid buying stuff 10 months out of the year so it balances my spending.

That's a good way of controlling yourself in spending. I realized that I should be buying discounted products in which I know, how much it really costs if it is not discounted. I have to kake sure first that what I am buying is something that is discounted and something that I need.

Yes, you are right. This promo is such a tease. I was also a victim myself. Haha. I guess, it's a very effective way to attract as many customers as you want.

That's why I tend to avoid malls and Facebook during the holidays. It's quite tempting since promos are everywhere! I wish there was a script that filters out all the holiday promos from every site I visit.

What's important is that, you can satisfy your customers with your service. I agree of being consistent as it may reallt affect the image of your business. It is important to continuously provide information and ads about your services. On that way, they will appreciate your effort and dedication for your business. Giving discounts and freebies are also a thing for your customers, it will likely make them feel important and as you welcome them to your business.

Hi Tommy,
Your posts are always informative and well written. I have taken notes from your previous work and I will do the same on this one, I may not need all the information right now but I know that it will be helpful for me in the near future as I am working on a project of mine right now. Thank you.

Thank you for such informative tips. Well, the main thing here is to treat the customers the way you want to be treated if you are a customer yourself.

The incentive will always be there when you are doing your marketing for the growth of the clientele. A discount or a freebie will certainly attract new clients especially when the service has a personal touch. I cannot imagine that personal touch in online stores but I guess it is more of the private messaging like saying your gratitude to the first time buyer for patronizing your business.

You always amaze me of giving organized details. Thank you for sharing. I just realized everything you tackled. Most of the well known advertisers really does this. I hope I could use this someday. I think this one could be very handy for me in the near future if given a chance.

Another way to ensure that you get great conversion rates on your ads is just to make sure that your website and landing pages work properly. I've seen many online stores that took forever to load, had broken links or other errors.

While I tend to be patient, especially if a site has a rather unique product that I'm interested in, most visitors aren't and will end up leaving a website that doesn't work right.

Thanks for sharing these useful tips with us. I admit I always fall into the first three tips when I see the advertisements, especially when the products are relevant to me. The incentives and limited time offers always work well. I'll take note on these and apply these tips if I run any ad campaigns.

Hi, thanks for your suggestions. I find that adding social proof is a good way to go because it works on me! I'm usually interested in finding out what interests so many people in a product so I usually click to find out. Incentives are also good, who doesn't like a giveaway?
