How do I become a succesful influencer?

Hello guys!, I hope you are having a terrific day.

I live in a small town with very few things to do for fun, so I'mconstantly trying to find new activities to do, new places to try, new food to
taste… Even my friends ask me when they want to go out, so I was thinking aboutpromoting this in some way and to make a site about it. I already do this but
in a small way, I would like to become maybe a local site to look for new
activities… So I was wondering: How do you become a influencer? How do I start this?Please help me!

That sounds easy From what I can see if the area has touristc places that's where you start from, Visit restaurants and ask people around all the restaurants in that area, then hotels, Then Lacs then theaters if you have some, All interesting places, and Make sure that you take quality pictures of every place you visite then Make an album of a photo book in pdf write descriptions under every picture and then Lounch a website to guide people, Or you can also use pictures in form of map then People Can See it on your site and make it easy to compare distances and choose what is near them.

A tourism site is good to have if you have the passion for your place especially if your town or city is fit to be a tourist spot. I know that it is easier said than done to put up a site about your place for purposes of tourism but if you play your cards right then you can probably make it into the big time. I know of one site that specialized in travel that it became popular because of the details that she was putting in on her blogs.

I think that becoming a successful influencer can require a lot of work and time but it is very possible... as long as you're passionate and determined. I suggest that you consider getting involved with different social media platforms. I think a good one to start with is Instagram. You have to create a large followers base and grow from there. You really need to be attractive to different companies so you will be offered sponsorships and exclusive deals. But unless you are well-established at least somewhere.. it can also be a personal blog, nobody will be interested in you.

Interesting posts indeed, like taking notes of all the tips people are giving you here. I would recommend to make social media your best partner. All social sites like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, they will connect you globally, they will increase your experience, specially by giving you ideas what places to visit, or maybe giving you tips on how to improve your site.

Use Paper.li, publish a newspaper and share via your social networks inviting people to subscribe to it. (Example: Austin's Food Goodness.) It's an easy publishing tool to use.

Publish your blog about your small town. When you publish your Paper.li newspaper, draw from your blog feed and it will display like an article in a newspaper. Create an account on Foursquare.com.

Register your blog on Bloglovin' and also associate your blog to your Twitter and/or Facebook accounts.

I have found that most of the influencers out there have different set of opinion. And they build on top of that. Usually same opinion is more likely to cause problems. And you can guess many of such influencers are building brands. And that's a good thing. One should be very careful in understanding that part. It's not easy to be influencer but it's possible.

This sounds like it would be a very difficult thing to do to me, actually, and I wonder how much competition you would run into. I know that in my city there are fliers and newsprints everywhere to promote local restaurants, venues, fun activities, etc. So, I guess finding your particular niche would be key in becoming the go to source for something. I am not trying to sound discouraging at all, and I say go for it, I just think you would really have to strategize in order to get the attention to you and away from other sources that people are already familiar with.

Thank you for your answers guys!

I'll take note of your advices and try to apply them the best way possible to my site. I guess I'll start with the social media as you said, such as Instagram, facebook and maybe twitter. I wasn't considering I would have to take great photos of every place I meet but I guess you are right and people are going to want to see what I'm seeing.

You could make social media work for you as well as you can ask your followers to share their information and experiences and even photos about your town with each other and feature the ones with the most informative results. You could also write articles in the local newspapers perhaps to promote your online presence as well as your town. You could connect with the local radio stations and have a dialog every now and then with the people near and far on live radio! You could have sponsored karaoke nights at the hotels and blog your great experiences and discoveries and share history about your town. You could also form social events like morning or evening or weekend hikes that highlight areas that are exciting and new where most people have not ventured. This sounds very exciting, you're gonna be a great influencer once you have applied yourself to working techniques and be persistent about it.

Successful influencers I know are mostly bloggers. But I have read that you can also be an influencer in other social media network particularly Twitter and Instagram. The need to be an influencer is to have thousands of followers. For starters, try to get a thousand and then work to make it 10,000. When you reach that number, you can be considered an influencer. But it is easier said than done because you need to post regularly and your posts should be interesting to your followers.
