Are social media exchanges good for business?

There are quite a lot of sites that offer social media page exchanges. This is where you can follow/like other people's social network accounts or posts and you earn a few points. You can then use these points to get other people to like your social network accounts or posts. But a lot of these accounts are sometimes spam accounts and if someone looks at your accounts followers list then it may look unprofessional and may cause doubt in your customers minds. Therefore do you think buying likes/follows is bad for business? Can it affect your sales?

Social media exchange is only for increasing the social signal. I have been using social media exchange website for the last 4 years. I didn't found huge helpful except increasing the number of social signal. Some times 10% come to active option. Using hashtag+ keyword with social media network postbox with status or with post is the best way to increase the keyword based real and active social signal.

Thanks
Centurion

On the contrary about social signals, I have recently read that it is now recognized by search engines like a backlink which means the social signals for your site has the same effect of having backlinks on that social media network. Maybe there is a change in the algorithm not only of Google but also of other search engines towards social signals because it is now a dominant factor.

I don't think social media exchange is going help you on your business. The first thing that the people who like your pages for social media exchange are not your targeted audience for your niche. So, it's no use because they are not interested in your page content and it's not useful for your niche.

Agreed. Niche is very important. People are so busy in their daily lives. If your site doesn't interest them, a social media account liking your posts hardly will. You have to organically appeal to the base and use that as a secondary effort. Your customers might not notice anyway because it doesn't make up a big part of the traffic of your client base. It is mainly perseverance and perspiration. It is very tiring, but it is worth it. Don't worry about the judgments.

It will. But you have to select your audiences carefully. That is the hard part but if you are clever enough, you can join groups or pages who have the same content as what you are trying to endorse.

Definitely. You have to be careful thought. It could backfire because they could compete directly against you and follow the adage: "Keep your enemies closer, and your friends close." It's the other way around, but you get my point. I'm not saying you need to be suspicious of everyone. Just be cautious and aware of other people with online social media presences.

I think that social media exchange is going to help you on your business if you know to do it right! You need a lot of work, dedication and positive thinking and the most important no high expectations. Start slow and be confident, using social media exchange will not harm your business, in fact it will bring your business on a high platform!

I myself have never been a fan of purchasing social media likes and follows and the reason for that is because as you say, a lot of the time they are fake likes and follows therefore when you have a lot of followers and likes and very little interaction on your posts it can look bad for you in the long run. Another reason I am not a huge fan on purchasing likes and follows is because if they do end up being fake likes and follows, in most cases you also rely on interactions and sharing to help your posts and page reach a wider audience. How are you going to reach a wider audience if a lot of your followers are fake?

I think it's good if used wisely, social medi can be powerful business tool. Revenue for example, the most obvious opportunity is to generate revenue. This can be done through building a community or advertising ypur products or services within the social media platform. If you choose to advertise in social media, the ads can either link back to your business to your website. This can mean that you are able to benefit from social media without needing to have a channel.

Yes it can help generate sales because this is a form of advertising your product to people. We all know that people don't do the same stuff. Some may watch tv, some are newspaper reader, some are travelers and some are stay at home. You as a businessman, must find a way to reach out to people because they are your target consumer. By doing everyway to let people know about your product is an oppurtunity to make a sale.

As long as you are not violating anything from the terms and conditions and the other rules, I believe it will help your business.
Also, it would be a great plus if your social media has a lot of followers or likes.

I think buying comments, followers or like is a part of the long way to online success, this is about saving time and money because it may take too long to get those comments, followers or likes and be noticed but if it's done quickly then it takes short time to get traffics and be and get to another step, as for spammers all you need to do is to activate anti spam and ban those who spam to your site, or else before you bye comments just make sure that where you buy them they provide quality comments not spammers.

I am not sure if this helps with the business, as the people who are paid to like or follow might not be our targeted audience, unless it happens to be some of them are, and they might buy the services or products from you. If we can even choose the targeted audience from these sites, maybe it eill be more beneficial.

I have seen people hiring the influencers. And this means the case is that you have to understand how the business goes for many reasons. You may find them sharing the content. You can also find them doing lot of experiments on many levels. You have to understand that social media seems to take lot of efforts for things to properly work out. I guess influencers are going to make more money in near future.

To me this is comparable to the "sub for sub" trend which is popular on YouTube. People send messages saying that they have subscribed to your channel, and in exchange for you to subscribe to their channel.

Fine, so you've gained one subscriber that probably doesn't actually watch or share your content. Now what? Neither of you actually benefit from the exchange because it's doing nothing to bring in an actual audience.

It just isn't worth it, and the only way to make progress is by accumulating an actual audience who enjoy your content. It isn't easy, but it's the only way to legitimate success.

Social medias did attract external traffic to my blog site. I had been using social medias for 8 years and had proven to be beneficial. As long as you don't post those irrelevant links, I am sure your followers will know that you are a serious person.

I believe so if you know how to use it to your advantage. It's good that you can get traffic on your page by having a bunch of people like it, but I suggest let them share your services and such. I never believed it worked before until I saw a guy with an average product get so many clients just because his post was shared 212 times on Facebook.

Definetly boost your audience for free by changing audiences with another person in the same niche

Social media exchange is only as effective as the people you exchange with. If you are into a particular niche, then exchanging social like or shares with some random account with have a near zero impact to your business. Even if you get more page likes, of what use are they if they are not active.

Hi there
There has lot of contradiction about social media exchange how good or bad. But, I would like to say, if you think about business concern, that may good. Because, you will get some social signal by real people. Though they will not react or active on your page. Contrast of other source, social exchange should be good. And most of the people use it to represent social signal to user as show up. If you concentrate for real effect for your business, getting like follow or subscribe by exchange never be profitable.

One thing that I understand about social media exchanges is that it will you link up with clients that will be willing to do business with you in the future.

I still have to experience that social media exchange. To me, social media is what it is – a media for socializing that is good for posting personal messages and expressing yourself by photos as well. But in terms of business, I think that social media exchange is good because it can help you with the likes and reactions to your posts. I remember one question that I had read in the newspaper, you can be considered an Influencer if your post gets 1,000 likes within the day.
