101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today
So you need something doing but don't know how to do it yourself, or don't have the time to? Well fortunately for you, you can pretty much outsource just about everything today! And the beauty of SEOClerks is that you can get all of these things done for you on here. Whether by hiring a freelancer or creating a WTB and hiring someone that way. But in case you was wondering, just exactly what some of those things are that you can outsource to a freelancer, I thought we should prove it as we go and do a series list of here's 101+ things you can outsource to a VA or freelancer today.

I've actually already put together a list of sorts of about 70 things but I know that there's more. So if possible, I'd sort of like this to be a community thing where you can submit the things you know that can be outsourced or purchased from a freelancer and I'll then do a post on it talking about what it is, why you would outsource it and maybe even some recommendations for services or tips and things to know about what to look for when it comes to getting it done for you.

And I know that some of them are just plain obvious, like SEO for example or Internet marketing or just something people always purchase from freelancers. But I want to sort of focus also on some of the other things, the more unusual things you can outsource especially and some of those other things that you don't usually hear about as much but are still quite important like Reputation Management, Guest Posting, to Event Management, Travel Planning, Social Media Management/Marketing etc.

And to kick us off with that, I wanted to talk about the first one.

1. Inbox Detox.

101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today
Got too many emails in your inbox? Need some of them cleared out and organised but don't have time to do that? That can be outsourced quite easily. Of course, there may be some emails that you don't want anyone else to see, such as sensitive stuff, passwords etc. But at the end of the day, if it's something that needs to be done, (and not doing it will only make things worse) then this is something you can outsource to a trusted, reliable VA today. Especially so for businesses that receive a lot of mail. While the large ones can afford in-house customer service agents to deal with that some can't and it can streamline your business by having a good email purge from time to time.

You could just delete all your old emails but you might not want to do that. So you'd have to go through them all one by one and delete all the ones you don't want. But that could take a very long time and is quite boring, long and tedious. And if that sounds like you, this is something you can outsource to a freelancer that's willing to do it for you.

They'll need to learn about you and you'll have to tell them what kind of stuff to keep and what to delete. Or specifically what type of emails to delete and which to avoid. And they can go in and start deleting a lot of stuff like junk emails and old answered questions, solved matters etc.

I would advise though that you have them just move them to the trash can and then quickly skim through them yourself to see if there's any emails you don't want to delete. That could take time though so that could be something you could also outsource. That extra step could save you a headache later on if you need to reference something said in an old email with an old customer lol. :/

But generally, getting an inbox detox will free up space for more emails on your server or within your email account whatever you use.

How to get an Inbox Detox?

Pros and Cons to Inbox Detox

Pros

  • You'd free up space for more emails in your email account inbox.
  • Helps with streamlining your business (out with the old in with the new)
Cons

  • You'd have to trust someone and could be giving away inside details about your business/company to a stranger who could sell it to a competitor (unlikely perhaps).
  • They could inadvertently delete emails you want to keep and not delete those that you don't.

So yeah, did you know you could outsource an Inbox Detox?

Have you ever outsourced detoxing yours?

For some other things I was thinking of posting that you could outsource are as said, Managing Events, Reputation / Project Management.  Things that basically involve someone running the whole of your business, more or less, for you. 101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today

And what other things are there that you can outsource to a freelancer today?

Those actual do something for you types of service.

Cheers all!

Mike.

One thing I like outsourcing is any type of data entry. I usually go with a few different VA's that I've used over the years and they do a great job. Now I have had my fair share of bad virtual assistants and wasted a lot of time and money on them 101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today It will definitely take time to find the right people to do the work and for an affordable price.

I like outsourcing easy and repetitive tasks to someone in India or the Philippines because they usually know English and don't require $30 an hour to perform a task lol.

Currently I have a new guy from Bangladesh who is importing items to my website and editing the titles and text on the pages so that they are not duplicates of the original source. So far so good as for what I can see lol. I'm paying this guy $300 a month and that's basically a full time income for him. He's working 8 hours a day on my website for 1 month, so that breaks down to $1.50 an hour 101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today 101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today

Yeah data entry! Such a hugely outsourced job! And your example of how you're outsourcing it is a very good one and why I wanted to do a post on it to go over some of the ways you can and the rates you can expect to pay for it too depending on who you use and from what country they're from usually! And yeah, because you can sometimes get a bad egg like that in a VA, it's a bit of a minefield but if you can find someone like that then you want to hold on to them for life!! Well until you retire anyway lol 101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today

When you decide to hire a virtual assistant to help your growing business, there are essentially two ways you can go. You can choose to work with an independent freelance VA or you can engage a virtual assistant company.

I know many people who hire VA for the inbox cleaning and replying to some generic emails. Some even use the VAs for the comments on wordpress and similar sites. So this sort of work can be well paid. And if people know what they are doing then that can be good earning for them. Its just that VA work is not much paid as of now due to skill fragmentation. And not a lot of people into this either.

Learning in progress.Love this task you don't only comment but learn immensely from the post daily.Yes, outsourcing is the deal now.you don't need to worry about how incompetent you can be now, just gave a competent virtual assistant and everything would be sorted out.

I also believe in outsourcing. The problem is that it is hard to find someone trustworthy and who will do exactly what I want them to do. My inbox has so many emails it's at risk of crushing.Lol. I probably should outsource that but I haven't found someone I trust to do that. My inbox has a lot of sensitive information. Many people just make their assistants sign Non-disclosure Agreements(NDA). However what if your VA is in another country? Good luck suing them.

I also don't agree with the pay.1.50 dollars an hour? I don't find it funny. I believe we should be fair and have a greater responsibility to other human beings. It's true many people can live on that, but I would just like to do better. If I can afford to pay better I will, especially if I know the person can do a good job.

This reminds me of the time before the social media that my inbox was usually toxic with spam. During that time, the spam filter was not working very well and more than half of the spam emails were able to get into the inbox. If there was already a virtual assistant, I guess I would be hiring one. But now, it is not much trouble since the email is not that heavy anymore. Besides, the filtering system against spam is very effective now.

I think now that email programs are getting smarter. That is one reason why the VA people are making it their work to clean. And also gmail works the same way and cleans a lot of them from inbox as well. I hope that like this we can see many such small apps that may help clean it. So that VA job is likely wont have much future about it.
