Help to get great back links

Hi All,

Bit of a predicament regarding back links, HOW do you actually get them?

What I mean is my post/pages rank from page 2-6 and new to the whole niche thing how is anyone going to find my content to link to it?

There are obviously paid services but researching this subject makes me nervous as there are black hatters out there!

So how do you get good quality links?

Getting good high quality links can be a long waiting game. If you're looking for people to naturally link to you, you need to keep building quality content and optimizing it very well in order to rank on page 1. Once you're on page 1 you'll begin to see a bigger spike in traffic, sales, subscribers, readers, etc.

Now if you want to get to page 1 quicker than what you could by just waiting, you'll need to go out and post on niche related websites and that will start to increase your own rankings. You can't just post one or two word comments like "Great Post!" because those will get burned and removed pretty quick. You'll need to post quality content to the niche relevant websites, blogs, forums that you find in order for it to stick. After you get around 10 to 20 posts on each of these websites, you can possibly unlock a feature that allows you to have a signature link on every post. This will help you a little because you'll have links on each of your posts. If you want to take a chance you can post a link in the content of your posts and hope they don't get deleted. This is risky because a lot of websites will ban new users posting links in the content of their posts. You'll need to build a reputation before you can start doing this, and that takes time.

A trick I've learned to get your links to stick is to answer any questions and link to authority websites like google, yahoo, bing, microsoft, adobe, or any authority site in your niche as long as it's not a competitor of the website you're posting on. This will show that you're truly trying to help others out and the posts won't get deleted, usually. After you do this a few times you can then start to sneak your own link in there to help others out Help to get great back links

Nice one Razzy, I was wondering how I would be able to sneak my own links in every now and then and what you have said makes perfect sense. Adding links to authority websites and helping other first would certainly make my chances of being able to add my own links much better.

Yup, you have to build your reputation and get noticed by the staff and owners before you can start adding in your own links Help to get great back links After you build your reputation with them, they'll se a link to a random website, your website, and they'll think "Well, he or she has posted plenty of good content and linked to credible websites, so this new website must be credible".

Or ya know, they could just hate any link that isn't in the top 100 most trafficked websites in the world and delete you post Help to get great back links

Yes very true. I am quite the same with comments on my website. I don't mind approving a comment when I know it is someone trying to get a backlink. As long as the comment they leave provides value to my website and as long as the link they add does too I will approve it. One thing that really annoys me though is the amount of affiliate links that people try and add to my website with a shoddy comment. I think that is just plain rude and I always delete those.

Hi varleysheen thanks for your nice question. I am sure you want to get good backlink for search engine ranking. Do not forget Google change their term for PR. So, if you want to get search ranking by great backlink, you need to sense of SEO. I mean on-page SEO and off-page SEO. And need to understand white hat an black hat SEO method. Either if you run only for backlink, never you will get expected result. So, insist on SEO method and write unique blog for your site that should be great. And for getting backlink Mike already cover all parts. So, I do not want to say again. Follow his instructions.

Great question Steve and I think the difficulty here is that as bloggers we really spend so much time writing our content and there is not much time to spread to all the other things we need doing.

I like to decide what tasks I do myself and what tasks I outsource to others! I do build a few backlinks myself but mostly I outsource that work here.

I think it is all about the niche. At least that's the way I start the problem.

First of all, I inform myself about everything related to my niche.

Second I do a very detailed analysis of the competition. I check their ranks, backlinks and how they manage to get them, potential customers, traffic, ads, social media presence, etc.

Third I develop a plan based on all this information I gathered. Some niches are easier than others and I can outrank my competitors pretty fast, others are just impossible without a huge amount of investment.
