Keyword stuffing

How many times would you have to use a keyword in say a 500 word article for the search engines to feel that you were doing keyword stuffing?

Thumb rule is not keyword density but it should sound natural when read and not sound as if it was written for bots and not for human readers.

P.S. Keyword stuffing is the thing of the past.

Keyword Stuffing is a SEO technique used by Web designers to overload keywords onto a Web page so that search engines will read the page as being relevant in a Web search.

Because search engines scan Web pages for the words that are entered into the search criteria by the user, the more times a keyword appears on the Web page the more relevancy the search engine will assign to the page in the search results (this is only one way that search engines determine relevancy, however.)

Search engines often penalize a site if the engine discovers keyword stuffing, as this practice is considered poor netiquette, and some search engines will even ban the offending Web pages from their search results.

While writing the content for a website optimization, the keyword density should maintain. It's value vary between 3% to 6%. Above 6% keyword density in the content is known as keyword stuffing. In simple words keyword stuffing defines as usage of keywords in the content more to get rank easily in the search engine.

WebPages are often filled with repetitive usage of keywords, this is called keyword stuffing. Repeating your keywords in an unnatural way is not good for your users and often results in a lower - not higher, ranking in Google.

max 3-4 that's also use in headlines h3 h2 etc for best results if you are using the content for seo purpose..

Keyword stuffing is known as an unethical search engine optimization technique that involves adding an excessive amount of keywords into the HTML or tags of a webpage to bring more traffic to a website. While considered obsolete and outdated, there are still websites that attempt to use this technique and end up being blacklisted or banned from search engines. Search engines are now well equipped to deal with that sort of unethical SEO technique.

My take on keywords is to be natural which means include the keywords you have selected in the article or content of the web page that you are creating but you should not be aware of what you are doing. When you are conscious of putting in the keywords for purposes of SEO then you can be stressed. Be natural and just include whatever keyword you want and how many times. Of course you don’t have to be excessive because being natural means you are moderate.
