I have used Google Search for many years and find that it helps me with every facet of life, not just related to business.

If I'm trying to cook a new meal for my family or prepare a presentation, Google helps me out.

I can learn all kinds of things by looking it up on Google. They have links to many instructional sites.

As a writer, I make maybe 10-50 searches -- depending on my knowledge of a subject.

For programming, it's much lower, like maybe 5 -20.

For fun -- 1 - 5

On a busy day, I could easily make a few dozen searches, but that's only if I'm in the middle of a writing project. Otherwise I only use Google a few times a day such as for finding reviews on products that I might want to buy.

If I'm doing a research paper or school project, then I will do dozens of searches in a day's time. Maybe even hundreds. That is just part of the research process.

I do make lots of searches on a daily basis. I write journal articles and need to make sure that I have included the right information and I tend to visit different sites to make sure that my information is correct. I normally search about socio-economic issues.

The number of Google searches I do in a day is on as needed basis, which means I search when I want to find information. If I am writing articles, I will do lots of Google search. Research for my article begins through Google search. When I am not writing, I do fewer searches, however, I will always use Google when ever I want to find information. Sometimes when I have nothing to search, I type my name on Google search bar, it is interesting to discover what the internet says about you.

I don’t search often in Google because I don’t want to be dependent. I have this colleague who is quick on the draw. Whenever a word is mentioned that he is not familiar with, he would search in Google. He does that even when we are in meetings. Some of my colleagues find it funny but I find it unethical and it is not good to be dependent on the search engine for information. It seems to me that he has no intention of remembering things simply because there is Google.

There is no particular fixed number of searches that I do in Google. I basically search in Google if I encounter things that I am not familiar with. Google has helped me a lot in work. I don't want to say that I'm dependent on it but it makes my life easier because of the fast gathering of data that it offers.
