    To know your audience means to understand why they would be visiting your blog. You need to figure out what your reader wants to learn by visiting your blog. You can do this most simply by asking the readers via a blog post or blog survey.

    What makes your readership/audience tick? What are their hopes and dreams? These could be a few thigns you would want to know about the people who are reading your blog. By knowing these things you will be able to serve up posts that fit their needs, rather than writing about what you think they want.

    In addition to knowing your blog demographics such as age, etc, you'll want to know when they usually visit your blog. You might find the blog readers come to your site around noon. So it would help to publish your content before noon, rather than later so they will have something fresh to read daily at lunchtime.

    the story and script. In blogging, it’s practically the same. If most of your
    audience belong to the younger generation then maybe it is a good idea to
    inject modern terms and trends in your blogs. That would be appreciated by your
    readers.

Likewise, in the blogging world, you should also know your audience. Your audience is a group of people who will actually visit your blog and benefit from your blog. If you have a blog where you publish articles on parenting, your audience is men and women who have kids. If you know your audience, you can find ways to pull traffic and drive sales.
