Are survey sites worth spending time on?

Are survey sites worth spending time on?

There are so many ways freelancers make money online and working on survey sites position as one of such medium which some people prefer to make money online from.

There are so many survey sites available on where people can work on. Prize Rebel is one of the most popular and paying survey site I have heard so far.

In your opinion, do you think survey sites are worth spending time working on?

I am partial to this. You can make money but not something you can count on. It will just be on extra. The effort you give is really not worth it. Sometimes you have to answer surveys an hour and you only get $5 for that. In my country, surveys are not always available. It is fine if you are only making money on the side. If you want to make serious money, maybe blogging will work right? I haven't tried but I am planning. What do you think?

I agree. Survey sites are only good as an extra income source but will never sustain your daily needs. I actually like the idea of answering while earning, but sometimes survey sites lets you answer surveys and then immediately screen you out without valid reasons and that's very annoying because surveys aren't always available.

NerdIndeed
This thing is the worst. Like you have already invested 5 minutes on a questionnaire then will say 'We're sorry we're looking for a slightly different audience.' It happens to me a lot, and all I can do is sigh.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Haha, it happens to me too almost everything and I just close the tab and clear my history and never try the site again.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
It's annoying, right? Like I don't mind answering a few questions to determine if I'm qualified or not but some take 5 or more minutes and it's completely unfair.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes that is really true since I have encountered it many times wherein I almost feel disappointed most of the time in taking some surveys because of being disqualified most of the times which is not really good.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

theresajane
I can feel you. That may be the most frustrating thing about survey sites. To be able to spend your precious time on a survey but being screened out after putting an answer that doesn't meet their requirements can really make me angry.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
I think it is not really worth to have these survey sites because some of them are applicable only into certain locations. I am not anymore interested in taking survey sites after having some bad experiences from it. I should have used my precious time in working to other sites that I have rather than keep wasting my time for surveys that doesn't give me some earnings because time for me is gold and I don't want to waste if possible.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
It happened to me and I was very disappointed about it. I think they should know from that start if the one who will do survey is qualified for the survey. It is really a waste of time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

allyn2017
I agree with you with that, I have experienced that a few times.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Same. This is the very reason why I lost interest in answering surveys lately. They always let me answer some questions and then without even knowing what I did wrong, the just immediately tell me that I don't fit with the target audience they are expecting to answer the survey. It's really frustrating and what's worse is they do not let you pause your survey and then try to finish it on the next day which is a bummer because most surveys take an hour to finish.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jeffreyjose48
You are right. I have numerous experience of that too. I already spent a lot of minutes answering but in the end it will tell that survey is not for you.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Alymae
This is really very frustrating. I have invested time and then it would say that I don't pass. Ugh. The payment is not worth it. The $5 is already very rare.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
Yes it always happen to me but I think there are strategies you have to learn there. I have found some strategies as I already finished a lot of survey but not all as I can steal received messages that I am not fit to that survey.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
I think they need to work on that because it kind of annoying for you to work to a point and get an annoying response, all efforts gone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That is right. It is not a good feeling at all when they suddenly appear on the screen that you seen zoned them and suddenly they say that you are not qualified for the survey anymore.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Definitely, they must do something about it. Unfortunately, my voice is small enough to tell them about my complaints especially that I am just a survey participant. However, it is really an awful feeling to expect and then immediately get screened out which leads to disappointment. It's just like when a guy is courting a girl tho, such heartache.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes, also they pay really low and the withdrawal is really slow.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
It not only slow but very annoying.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Their payments take time to appear in your account too. They should not implemented that kind of system because people do their survey to have some extra income.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
True. Commonly, a survey costs at least a dollar or less per completion and that's very low. Not to mention, the payment threshold is very high and the process of payments takes at lest 5-10 days which is kind of frustrating because it's so annoying to wait especially if you have to use the money immediately.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
Yes, it's just for extra income as it's not worth to much effort as it will be useless for your time. What I know, you have to know strategies. You don't have to be true to the survey. You may want to see their title of the survey and there you will be able to know or find some clue of what kind of audience they are looking for.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cjctm11
I also experience this kind of disappointment that survey sites do but I watch some videos in youtube why you are being screened out, I have learn that maybe they are looking for some specific gender, age, or even your workplace. I have notice that those are some parts that you would be screened out. They are looking for some specific audience for their product or service that's why I understand why you will be screened out on a survey.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea thats true, it doesn't pay much but I haven't tried the site he is talking about but all the sites I have tried have been time consuming but little pay.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
In order to earn better from surveys, you have to be from Tier 1 countries like the US and Canada. I am from Nepal and there are not many surveys available for my location. Even if I find surveys that accept users from my country, the pay rate will be terribly low. Therefore, I have stopped checking surveys. Having said that I think you can earn well with surveys if you are from Tier 1 countries.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
I agree, it's the same here in Philippines.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea not only in Philippines, it's even worst in Africa.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That is not good to hear. I have been in Central Africa in Luanda Angola. I stayed there for about 2 years. I feel bad if what you have experiencing about that very low payment.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
I think it shouldn't be done that way because it kind of racist to me, they prefer to give more than 10 survey a day to Tier 1 countries but not a single 1 for others for almost a month, really bad.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I don’t know that it’s racist. It might just be market research that is commissioned by companies based in those locations. I don’t think race comes into it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Yeah I think it too. It is not a racist at all. The fact that most of us experienced the same thing too. I did experienced it and I did not realized that what they did is an act of racism.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
This is not about racism. They are paying better to the people in the Tier 1 countries because that's where the real customers are located. Most of the surveys are related to the businesses and issues in the US or Canada, therefore, these surveys pay more to the people in these countries.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cjctm11
I don't think that they are being racist. It was a survey so they have some specific type of audience, for example they are looking for girls audience who would take their survey about their product such as bra or napkins, you as a guy couldn't contribute about those matters so we will just wait for our perfect match in survey sites.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

stbrians
The same hapoens to me from Kenya. Surveys are scarce and if found pay too low.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Alymae
I understand you. In my, country surveys are scarce. A $5 survey is very rare and it would take weeks before it is delivered to your account. I experienced a survey which it took 6 weeks before the $5 is delivered into my account.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ballyhara
Exactly. They tend to give all the best surveys to Usa and Canada, while the rest of countries get nothing or very long ones, that usually tell you that you aren't what they need. I think those survey sites are just a scam, and you invest a lot of time compared to the minimal earnings they pay. I don't recommend any of them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Definitely, most survey sites pay very small amount of money to their members and it's never commensurate to the work these people do with filling out their surveys.

It's basically a part time means to make small money online if you don't have better options than that to make money from.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
I think it all ends in the patient because not everyone can wait for the slow payment from survey site.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

allyn2017
Yes, and the fact that the rate is so low.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Survey sites are great for earning pocket money. Sometimes it's best to leave the money there until it accumulates into a substantial amount. That's what most people do.

Blogging is a difficult endeavor. You'd need to devote much time, effort, and patience to learning it. Actually doing the stuff needed is a whole new level of complexity. And not many people can keep doing it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea blogging is quite difficult but it pays more better than survey site.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
The more difficult the more it pays better. It usually like that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

stbrians
When there are no surveys in my country is when I feel pissed out. Survey sites would have been ok if surveys were available throughout. They are not and one may take a month without any survey.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jayjaydimson
Yes, the surveys are quite boring to answer for my own opinion, and for me, it's not worth to try it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

burgosmichael24
I can say that Survey sites are good source for extra income in some countries but not to other. Some good paying survey sites that I know are not available in our country.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Corzhens
You are right that extra money can be earned from survey sites but not really substantial as to take care of your livelihood. I have a sad experience with surveys that I am avoiding it now. After all my efforts in trying to earn, there were no more surveys that are for me so my bank balance couldn’t reach the minimum withdrawal amount. That is frustrating for me because I thought that survey sites are good sites to earn from.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

luv2xacosta
Not really worth spending your time. It only give small amount of money for the survey. But it is helpful and can add for extra income especially to those who stays at home. The problem that I encounter with survey sites is that they always screen you out and only give 5 points. Some of them give you 20 minutes to answer but in the end it only takes 2-5 minutes 5 questions. Or maybe depending on the questions I think.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Some task are too difficult and waste time and they give a very little point to begin with and sometimes you become tired because you don't see anything coming from it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes, I agree with you. I hate it when it happens because it feels like I am wasting my time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea same issues here, I just get angry and speechless.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
One problem with most survey sites is that they don't even give out more surveys to fill often which makes it impossible to make any decent amount of money from the sites.

The pay for filling the surveys are very small and you still don't get enough surveys to fill out in a day.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea, the extra income survey gives is really to small except someone can do it a whole day but the survey opportunities are low.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I do quite well on Qmee and Quick thoughts gives me a fair few £10 Amazon vouchers. The reason freelancers may not do so well as others is if you can only put you do casual work. For some reasons, a lot of surveys mark this down. The reason I like Qmee and Curious Cat is they draw different surveys into one place. Curious Cat lets you cash out at £1 and gives you a point for every survey that excludes you. Qmee lets you cash any amount out into Paypal immediately.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
I hope they are not doing it based on your location because I have many survey sites that have been blocked because I am opening from a country that is not acceptable.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
I once heard from a person that he is earning around $100 in average from online surveys. Well, that is a lot of money to be earned just by doing surveys. I am from Tier 1 countries and I cannot imagine to make that kind of money just from surveys.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
that's a lot of money, maybe he's from U.S ir canada.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea or maybe the United Kingdom because those three countries are one of the best country to run a survey site with.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Its possible when you do that from a Tier 1 country because they are enough survey for those locations but I don't think its possible in other areas.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
Surveys pay better to the people in tier one country (I mistakenly said I am from tier one, when I am actually from tier three). That's because the target audience for these surveys are in the tier one countries. Even the customers are based in tier one countries.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ballyhara
Well, I would like to try those platforms, because so far, all the other ones I have tried, have been a mess. It takes a lot of time, and more often than not, they don't have any surveys available. Besides these ones, what any other would you recommend?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mhingnhormz
Are Survey Sites worth spending time on: In survey site you can only gain an extra income not a passive income. And sometimes in oneday there are only 2 survey available then how come your remaining tume of the day if you only base on survey site. Therefore i can say that survey site is not that worths sprnding time on.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
I use to thing that but I think survey sites are worth spending time to some locations US and the UK but I don't think it's easy for some continent.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Jelineex
I haven't done any survey job because mostly of it are not available in my country. Any amount that comes from a decent job is better than nothing at all. We all spend time to work and earn our earnings later. So, it's always a choice to go for it and find it's worth.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
That's the thing, usually survey sites that pay a lot caters to first world countries like the US, UK, Australia and such. Glad that at least I receive a few from where I'm from but it's not that substantial, but I'll take it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
I don't get survey sometimes for days and it comes once and disappear, I don't really like trying survey site because of that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes, and it is annoying that is one of the reason why I stopped participating surveys.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea it has made me change my mind and lost hope on survey sites, I can do any other thing but I don't do surveys.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
I know. I am a member of one site that regularly gives me surveys like every other day or so, but lately, it's dry. The last one I had was weeks ago, and I wonder if I'll continue with it or not.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Jelineex
Yes, you're one of the fortunate person on earth that take juices from a survey site. It's good to have it, as additional means of earnings. I don't know why it's always the first Tier country gets the best of everything. They have more opportunities compared to other Tiers. Does that mean, they're more competent and skilled than the rest of the Tiers? Just saying! @Nerdindeed

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
No, I think it's not because they're more competent and skilled and such, it's because businesses and companies on tier1 countries have more capital to spend on consumer research compared to third world ones.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Jelineex
I, agree with you that the first tier have more capital investment to support research studies. But, they never shared it to the other side of the earth. Kidding aside, may be some products or services are not available in some countries.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
They never conduct those surveys on the other side of the earth because it's not their market. For example, why would you ask feedback from someone in Asia if most of your products are sold and distributed in North America?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Same issue I have with survey site, they are not being nice when sending survey and it's really bad and not favorable.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Most of the people feel the same way too about that survey site. I think they should know that time is very important for everyone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
That's also case. I stopped checking survey sites when I found that even the site that promised surveys for international users did not have any surveys for someone like me who is from Tier 3 country. Surveys work better if you are from Tier 1 countries.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vhinz
Compared to just browsing the posts from your social media accounts, I think survey sites is more worthy because you could earn extra dollars. But compared to spending time in writing an article to your blog, survey sites are worthless. Why would you use your valuable time earning a dime where if you spend it honing your writing skills could possibly give you a big amount of income in the future. But I'm not saying that survey sites are totally a waste of time, in fact, I do spend time in survey sites. Since I started participating in one particular survey site, I accumulated total earnings of $100. It's not a great amount of money but maybe its enough to buy a domain and hosting to start your own website. Earnings in survey sites are not reliable because the available survey depends if there are companies who want their products or services to undergo a survey.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea and it also depends on the location, I hardly get any survey when I insert my location, I don't know why but it's terrible.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vhinz
Yes, it depends on your location. I'm from the Philippines and I could only join to surveys available in my country. There are many legit websites that offer paid surveys but if your county is not included in their list, you cannot take the survey. They might just choose countries where they want to conduct an online survey.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
me too, usually surveys are only available in U.S and Canada.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
It is better to spend time on surveys and earn extra instead of squandering time on whatsapp, facebook, instagram and the likes. However, the main problem with survey is you have to be from tier 1 countries to be able to participate on surveys and benefit from surveys. Well, surveys are also available for Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries, however, these are low paying surveys.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cjctm11
You have those good points where can open our mind about survey sites. I am also having fun doing some survey sites because I am doing some when I only have some free time. It wasn't my main source of income but I am gaining from it even though it was just small amount.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
I have tried survey sites before, and I don't think they are worth the time. The rates are so low and thwy pay you way long after you withdraw your money.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

There are things that we should be looking at when we are looking to improve our work as freelancers and that is something that I don't think that I should be doing. I have looked at ways that I can work on some cool sites as well.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
Indeed true. I am a member of one, and it takes a month even to get your pay. Some take less but still, it's in days. Unlike the others where you get it in an instant, now that should be the ideal.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

allyn2017
I agree with you and for the fact that it pays low rates, it's not worth the wait.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
It depends. If it's your only source of funds, it's not worth the wait. Otherwise, if you have other means of earning online, answering surveys serve only to make a few extra.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Have done survey for hours but still couldn't make any decent cash out of it but it still cool because nothing goes easily.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
There are surveys that worth your time and there are not. It depends to what kind of survey you want to do.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
True, but so far all that I have tried are not worth of my time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
Not at all. I wouldn't waste my time with survey sites. I tried some a few years back, wasn't worth it. I'm sure there are a few that are decent, but the ones I've come across are not worth in terms of payout, what they want you to do for it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
I have also stopped checking survey sites. I prefer to spend time on paid to post sites instead of doing surveys. I have never earned real money from surveys, however, I earn good from paid to post sites. I am from Tier 3 country and surveys are not available, Even if they are available, the rate is poor.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

stormbreaker10
Yes, but you do this in extra only if your already professional in freelance because not of the pay you received but to atleast have a refreshing job that can escape for a while in your main job at freelancing. Next, if your starting only in freelancing then yes again because this is your training ground of how the freelancing works. Last, if your not skilled enough in freelancing job (e.g web designer) then its another yes again.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Barida
I don't think that I should doing anything on survey sites. I don't really think that they pay one for the time that they invest on the site and this is the reason I should be looking at having to work on another site that will understand the time that I am spending on the internet.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
I didn't get what you mean. Survey sites do pay their users. Are you referring to the time spent answering the survey and the pay that you get from them? You're right on that part as it's not that substantial, though when you do a lot, it adds up.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
Yes, of course. Any platform you feel is worth your time earning from is worth it, survey sites included. I am a member of a few. However, don't expect to receive a substantial amount from it as it relies on demands and demographics. Making $20 a month from it is already a feat for me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
Yeah. I have heard of people making thousands of dollars every 3 months from survey sites but I think those people were using some kind of automated system or bot, to do the work for them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
That's highly unlikely. The people who earn substantially from it comes from first world countries like the US and such. Surveys over there are plenty and is paid more per study.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Thousands of bucks?! Yikes! I definitely think that it would have to be an automated system. Even my "high paying" survey sites end up yielding me about $20-$25 a month. Certainly not big bucks - especially since most have cash out thresholds and monthly limits too.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
What do you mean by an automated system? Like are there hacks out there wherein you possibly can be allowed to take surveys even without passing its criteria (age, gender, etc.) and then have it answered automatically for you?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Yeah, that’s the only way I think it’d be possible to earn that kind of money from survey sites! Firstly even if I qualify for surveys I only earn about $2 for every 20 minutes at a guess. Unless you’re speeding through surveys I don’t get how those figures are even possible to extend into thousands a month unless you’re working 24/7 and qualifying for everything across multiple sites.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
I see. Maybe they accumulated all of the points they did for like let's say a month before cashing out. I don't know about this automated systems but if ever they do exist it's pretty amazing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cjctm11
That was a lot of cash on taking survey sites in just 3 months how could that be possible and It will really take a lot of surveys although survey sites doesn't even give more tasks per day. Let's say that they are using some bot or automated system but in terms of the number of surveys, it requires a lot and there are no survey sites that will give you 10 tasks per day so I am wondering, how is it possible?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
For my own opinion and experiences I could say that survey sites are just a waste of time because I am not earning from it and besides most of it are only good at a certain location. I was not blessed to be on the top countries that are giving much opportunities in taking some surveys. I am not anymore focusing on these tasks since I am not expecting that I will earn from it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Everett
A good friend of mine joins several survey sites, and they make like around on average $500/month doing those surveys. So if you add that up, you could potentially make an additional $6,000 a year. However, some surveys are monotonous, and they seem to just go on forever. I could not do a survey that will take an hour just to earn $0.50. No thanks, I rather spend my valuable time elsewhere.

However, there are those that live in different countries, or live differently monetary wise that just sit and do these surveys to feed their families. I mean if you have to do the surveys, why not? If I was in a place to where I needed extra cash fast I would probably be doing the exact same thing - even though I would hate it with a passion.

Not only is surveys monotonous, you seem to be disqualified a lot which in and of itself is a little depressing especially if it is a high paying survey.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
Generally speaking, those who can make $500 every month by doing surveys are from the countries like the US, UK or Canada. In these countries, $500 is not a big amount when they are already spending substantial amount of time doing surveys. However, this will be a big money in the countries like India and Bangladesh. sadly, a user from India and Bangladesh cannot actually make this kind of amount through surveys, because the surveys available in this location pays poorly.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
I always see posts like that at random on news blogs. Like you'll have an article talking about politics or abortion. Then you check the comments section, and as you scroll through the comments there's always some random post from someone who claims they made 'a thousand dollars a month' on some survey site.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
I also see people posting on penny sites claiming that they are making a lot of money on certain sites. If they are actually making a lot of money on some sites why are they spending time on penny sites. Therefore, I do not believe such claims. I know people who are actually making thousands of dollars online, however, they don't to to various sites claiming they are making a lot of money.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
That's the part that kills me. Sure, surveys are for the most part simple, easy work - but some of those surveys are hours long for chump change. It'd be easier to just get a job if you were expecting to make megabucks off survey sites. It can be great for some extra money though if you're a stay at home parent with some free time like I am. I know I'm not gonna earn tons from it, but bits and pieces are nice when they come in.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

theresajane
In my own opinion, it's worth it. Just make sure that you don't spend your whole day answering to surveys, probably 30-40 minutes would be enough. It's a good feeling to just click options and earn extra money. Just take it as a break from your heavy load.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

allyn2017
I agree with you, just enough to pay.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I find that to be good advice and it’s much in line with what I do now. Doing surveys is something that still earns me money and helps me to feel productive but doesn’t take as much brainpower as some of my other freelancing gigs. I usually do surveys first thing in the morning as I’m waking up!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think it is, it might pay very low but at least it pays.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes the pay isn’t going to make me a millionaire any time soon, but it does add up. From all the survey sites I participate in, I probably make 500 dollars a year. Not bad, all things considered!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That is right! I still earn from survey sites even if it takes months before you get paid since you need to meet the required points. What important is it pays our job for answering the surveys,

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

There are some survey companies which pay very well per survey - over $50 I've heard - but you may qualify for a survey maybe only once in a year. As something you could rely on to earn you some extra money, this certainly isn't something you would bet on.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cjctm11
This is the point about it. You couldn't earn a lot on survey sites but still it pays when you add up. It was just a matter of choice whether taking surveys will waste your time or why don't you try to take some when you have nothing to do or you don't have some plans on going out. It was better rather than wasting time om your social media where doesn't pay any amount.

For me, survey sites help me to earn extra money. I am subscribed to the Global test market and I already got paid through my paypal account, However, what you earn from this site will not support all your needs. And the other thing is that it takes many months to get paid since there are required points to request for a payment. The points will depend on the number of surveys you will answer. And if you don't get a lot of surveys, the chance of earning points is low.

This wait to be paid is why I do Qmee and Curious Cat. No survey site will give a living wage, but cashing out 33p or 44p or in the case of Curious Cat mounts up into Paypal immediately. However, this morning for some reason nowhere has surveys and I am wondering why. I think those two pay the best from what I have seen.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Qmee and the Curious cat seem interesting. I never tried these before since this is my first to hear these sites. Globaltest market does not send surveys everyday. They do it once or twice a week or sometimes, it would take two weeks before receiving a survey. And once you requested for a payment, you will need to wait for 5 to 10 business day before they send the amount to your PayPal.

Qmee and Curious Cat don't work for me right now - since I'm living in Asia for work right now a few sites that I used to use in the US don't work here. I'll have to check them when I'm back in the US though and see if they're any good.

Honestly, it took 7 or 8 months before I got the required points to request for a payment. They don't send surveys everyday and sometimes, you are not qualified for a survey. So, you will be screened out.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

7 months is a long time to wait before you get your hard-earned money.

What I know is some survey sites are designed specifically to ensure that you don't earn enough money to cash out so as you draw closer to cash out you'll notice that you don't qualify for surveys anymore.

But no matter how long it takes before you withdraw your earnings, it's OK since you haven't been scammed.

Yeah i think it's worth spending time to. Because taking survey's can also help you earn real money with their website and also you can answer survey's in your free time, when your bored and when your not so busy. Until now i'm still taking survey's when i'm free to earn real money and for me it's worth it spending time working on even if it only pay's a little sum of money.

I’ve always liked things that allow me to voice my opinions on things - it’s part of why I also enjoy forums - but that extends to surveys too! I like being able to help shape a product or service by giving market research feedback.

Making cash from the survey sites isn't always well worth however you cannot rely on this because it isn't a ordinary income method. You could earn much less or more however not long term and primary amount of earnings from this. You can do it as a part-time incomes method and additionally awareness on different methods also.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes it’s definitely not something you can make a full time income out of, but for some extra cash it isn’t bad. My online survey sites usually pay for all the Christmas presents I need to buy, so it’s super helpful for our household budget.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

IMO survey sites are a waste of time. Most of them that is. They are very much like GPT and PTC sites which promise those who wish to make some money from home much but once they register, soon realize that they won't make much money from the sites.

Many of these survey sites are scams. They set their minimum withdrawals so high that most people never earn enough to get their money. And there are those that will let you come within a dollar of the minimum withdrawal and then suddenly you don't qualify for surveys anymore. Hardly surprising.

I'm sure there are a few legit survey sites but I doubt you'd earn much money from them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Some are better than others for sure. I have one survey site where I can get at least $25 a month for fairly minimal work - basic easy surveys. I have other sites where I’m lucky to get that amount in a year because the surveys are so infrequent and the cash out limits are higher.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

There was one I remember which paid a buck for a short survey. It didn't take two minutes to complete and they'd immediately send the money to your paypal account. I think it was called poll buzzer. It's the only legit survey site I ever was on.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I love when they let you cash out to PayPal even for small amounts. It's much more reassuring that way than when you have to build up money and it takes forever to accrue until you can cash out. I also love when PayPal is a rewards option. Not all sites have it, so I always prefer survey sites that do. Cold hard cash is my favorite reward!

It depends. I'm a member of a few, and I manage to get $10 per month from each. Now, that's good enough for me to pay for some bills we have in our household.

That's an ideal scenario too. As for me if you will allow me to share, I'm planning to abandon answering surveys if I do find another way to earn at least $3 a day through other means. Right now, surveys provide that, but if I get to have like a part-time job, I'll let it go.

Surveys here in my location is unstable. I only receive 0-2 surveys a day. If you receive surveys in a regular basis and with a good quantity then I think it is worth spending time for. For me it's not though it really depends. If I could get a lot everyday it would be great because it's not a hard work. Even though the pay is small, if you'll have many surveys to fill up, it'll be sufficient.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DenisP
There is one main issue I have with survey sites, and that is that the quality and quantity of work is entirely dependent on your location. The best and most number of surveys are often given in developed countries where the money you make could barely be considered as disposable income.

The amount of money you make from surveys could actually be considered as a livable income in underdeveloped countries, but the fact is that signing up from these countries is going to net you barely any surveys, if any at all. You’re better off spending your time elsewhere.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

theresajane
I agree with you. I also notice that in most surveys, they prefer takers to be from highly-developed cities. It's sad to know that people who are not from those places are rejected.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
That’s true, and then in the countries where they pay a decent figure for a survey is chump change in those countries!

I am American but live abroad right now for work. You get paid much more for surveys back in the States - but couldn’t live off it at all.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DenisP
The problem is that the companies paying to get these surveys done all have developed populations as their target demographic. They want to sell products to and gather data from people who are actually going to have the disposable income to buy their stuff. What’s the point of hosting a product survey in a country where the people are generally too poor to buy your merchandise? It sucks that it has to be that way, but that’s just the way that the market works.

I used to do surveys and other minor work when I lived in the U.S because eventually I’d gather up enough cash to buy small luxuries like video games. Now that I moved to a fairly impoverished country, the money I made to buy video games is more than enough to live off of here (living is only slightly more important than playing video games), but the issue is that the same opportunities just aren’t available any more.

I search for legitimate paying survey sites and I find plenty of them but unfortunately most of them are not available in our country. I joined in some of those sites who are available but only to find them disappointing. They will give you survey questions and after you answer that survey, they will tell you that you are not qualified for that survey and they are looking for a different profile. However, there was one survey site that before they will send you the questionnaire, they already made sure that you are qualified for that and you will be paid for that survey. It's the Paidviewpoint.com.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I’ve had that happen too. I’m an American living overseas right now, and the amount of surveys I used to be able to get back home compared to what I get where I’m living now are two entirely different things!

I guess if they will pay you more than your time, it is worth it, but most of the surveys on the internet pay less than the average.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Depends on where you live. If you are from the US, UK, Australia and such, it might be worth it as surveys go for more than $2. Now it's a different story if you come from South-East Asia.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Sadly the cost of living in those places is much higher though, so despite it sounding lucrative to some people for earning that much per survey it’s not really a fair comparison.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You're probably right. But the thing is that it's also not about the rewards for each survey but also the number of studies available. People from such countries tend to receive surveys to answer daily allowing them to earn up to $50 a week.

I think so. They're a nice means of extra income. Though, you can't rely on them for regular cash. It's something that depends on the frequency of surveys. You also need to be qualified each time you try earning money there.

Honestly some are, and some aren't. A few things come into play for me:

Some survey sites have surveys put up regularly. Others are few and far between.
Some survey sites have really high amounts you have to reach to cash out, which take forever to accrue.
Some sites seem to have shady surveys, where you'll get screened out right at the end (or after a significant amount of time) and get nothing for your time and trouble.

Long story short - it's really dependent on the site, for me.

I love answering surveys but it doesn't earn me a whole lot. I can manage to get about $10 a month total for the two survey sites I'm working on but I just spend 10 minutes a day or less to answer all their surveys, so I'm happy with it. $10 is $10. I usually save all my income from surveys for my kids Christmas Gifts. This year with $120, I'll have $60 each to spend on my two sons gifts. I'll buy each of them a new watch and Headset.

Here's my experience with surveys. They prefer people from 21 to 31 age group. Mostly female. In the north america. And with some buying habits. Those type of profiles make money in the survey sites. Because they don't prefer asian and EU users either. That's what something people need to see in that case. Some people can have good success with it but not all.

There are strategies for you to continue answering the survey or pass the survey. You only have to think what are their main products so its more likely a target market. If it's about children's milk, you will have to pretend that you are a mother something like that. Sometimes in workplace if they ask you some question such as "Are you working on these field?" or something related to workplace or work and you have to choose which field are you working. Sometimes the right answer there is to choose none of the above. At first I wasn't able to continue surveys because I always screened out as I always answered I worked in advertising industry which should not be the answer.

Hello!

Let me share my experience with you regarding this matter.
I did try to use survey website, but it went terrible wrong. Not only I didn't get paid, but also they ran out of surveys.
So I'd say it's bad for eastern Europe region. Most surveys are for US.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

It’s certainly frustrating when you have the time and interest to complete surveys but there are just none offered in your region of the world, or very few. I do hope that the survey market expands there for you so that you can partake in them more regularly.

I think that survey sites are only worth to spend our time if we are from tier countries because some companies are giving us more offers or surveys at a given period of time. But if we are on a non tier countries then we cannot expect to earn more from survey sites because most of the time we will not receive some surveys and might end up screening out regulatory for taking the survey which I am experiencing right now.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I'm from the US originally and a lot of people don't even care for doing surveys here since even though surveys "seem" like they pay well, the cost of living here is much higher.

I know in some parts of Asia for instance, you could probably earn enough over several survey sites to sustain yourself each month. Not a chance of doing that in the US.

It really feels bad whenever we are always get screened from taking the survey even though we are exerting a lot of efforts from doing some luck with it. Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I don't think survey sites are worth it for earning money. Firstly, you get surveys based on your location which means that unless you come from a specific country, you will not get any surveys. Secondly, the pay is just TOO low. You can be paid just $5 for answering an hour of a survey. Instead, you can invest that time in learning a new skill which can help you make more money.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I think what you said is important - the time spent for the money rewarded in a lot of these endeavors is low. If you enjoy it, that's fine, but I like what you said about investing time in a new skill. Something like graphic design for instance can yield you some good money if you know what you're doing!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes. Instead of filling out surveys, you are doing something useful like learning a new skill. There are plenty of skills that you can learn like web development, software design, social media marketing and more. And the good thing is that if you can master just one of them, you can start earning a lot of money.

My experience with survey sites so far isn't really that good. In my opinion it's slow, maybe it's the sites I've registered on. I'd be lucky to get at least 4 surveys a week, but that's not the case. On one of the site I registered for it's been a week already and they still don't have a new survey for me to take. You do get money from them but the whole process is long and slow.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I have some where I can get a new survey each day. Others, like you said, are few and far between. I have a bad experience with survey sites because I had never been able to withdraw. The first survey sites that I tried were using an app and that really got me mad because I was expectant that I would be able to withdraw since my balance was nearing the minimum amount for withdrawal. That was the time I realized that the site was a scam because there were no more surveys that qualifies me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I was also experience being scammed from survey sites before because they would send me some surveys and after I am near to finished the survey will be closed or would say that I am not qualified to take the survey which is something that is unfair and near to scammed. There was also an instance that I am new to a particular survey site then at beginning I am receiving frequent surveys but after being near at the cash out I don't anymore receive some surveys from them which is something that is really annoying.

Definitely sounds shady if you're close to your withdrawal amount and then there are conveniently no more surveys...sounds like they're just trying to prevent people from withdrawing at all. It's part of why I'm drawn to sites with low withdrawal limits, so it's easier to get your cash out.

Most of the time, I get screened out in surveys. What pisses me off is when I'm already 20 mins in the survey and nearing the end and they kick me out of the survey. I do think these surveys are legit. It's the payout process that isn't. Of course you'd want to save on survey fees when you're the one conducting the surveys right? If I were them, I'd screen out people at the end to save the trouble of actually paying. I'm still under the impression that survey sites are still collecting data from us even if we're screened out which isn't fair for the time we invested answering their questions. Scam.
