How to Become Instagram Famous (InstaFame)

Instagram is a very popular social networking platform which nearly everyone is on, hell even I am on it. Instagram can actually produce growth in traffic and getting a good volume of followers can explode your traffic. Also, I must not forget becoming Insta Famous. instagram was created on 6 October 2010, original authors were Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. It was released on the 6th of October 2010 and then 2 years later they eventually created an android app. Anyway, enough of the history lesson let us move on to how to become Instagram famous.

Setting Out Your Profile Accordingly

When you first login to your Instagram the most important thing to do is edit your profile accordingly. Making sure you have a photograph and also an introducing which is you Bio. Your Bio is much more important if you are using Instagram for Business which will make your profile stand out more to the members of Instagram. You can only use 150 characters in your Bio and then underneath you can place an URL link to your blog/website or business site.

With the recent updates to the Instagram social media networking website, allows members to add hashtags and @ in there Bios. This can surely boost your profile a hell lot more. When members type words to keywords in the Instagram search box for example; Make money online, it will come up firstly in the search top result has #Makemoneyonline so if you have this in your profile you are most more than likely going to gain some form of exposure = More followers.

So if you are already on Instagram then spruce up your profile, make sure your photo is up and your bio is filled out and website link is in the URL box. Also, make sure you add the appropriate hashtags to go with your profile and niche. "Psst" you can also for free upgrade your Instagram profile just like Pinterest as a business. Which allows you to link to Facebook.

How to Get Niche Related Followers

Getting Niche related followers is pretty darn easy, and am not talking about like4like websites. Sorry to say but they are crap here's why? because when you use a like4like website all your followers are mainly fake users. They are fake because of many members of like4like websites just make up new accounts to earn points so they can get likes back. Which does not work, yeah true it may look like you have a mass following on YouTube and if that's what you want that is fine. If you need a mass of followers for exposure and for them to interact with your profile and click your link click your posts and like or even comment on them you will need niche related followers.

This is a different kind of technique but still works, search your keyword for your niche in the Instagram search bar. Note: Making sure you have fully optimized your bio and profile beforehand. Once all ok search using your keyword, you will find a lot of posts related to your keyword. Click on the one most relevant and also must have a lot of likes. Once you have done this and it shows the member who shared the post click on their profile, follow them and also click on their followers. Once you are on there followers there will be many, the more the better. Follow all there followers...

Why follow all their followers?, Easy because if they are in your Niche the member who you clicked on. Then all his/her followers are following them because they are into and know information about the niche. This is why most of the members are following this person. So if you are in the same niche and you are following them it stands to reason they will follow back.  Because they are into the same niche of you, so if they are seeing a fully optimized profile with the fundamentals of what they are into they will essentially follow you back. Not always, but most of the time they will tend to follow you back.

Using Hashtags

Using hashtags matter on Instagram, not like any other social media networking website like Neil mentions in the video above. Why?, because people are always using search results in the Instagram platform to immediately find what they are intentional looking for. So if you have your keywords for your niche in your Bio and your posts that is a dead cert for more exposure. As long as your profile doesn't look spammy enough I do feel using the right Keywords will attract the right kind of people.

All these do work and as long as you have a decent profile and also put into place the following niche routine you will guarantee to earn a mass follow back. Why also not just follow members but also commenting on posts and liking in the same niche which will help with exposure.

I heard that benefits about using Instagram, but honestly I don't have account in Instagram. Some of my selfie addicts friends being in Instagram everyday, to update their pictures and think they are celebrity by doing their pose. The followers and likes from social media account is easy to fake. Like on on Facebook, there's an app or android app that you can download to have a thousands likes to your post, and if you want to have followers. I just don't know about the Instagram.

Compared to Facebook likes, getting Instagram Followers is a bit tougher and takes a lot of effort. I do have an Instagram account and yes, it will really make you feel like a celebrity when you're uploading a photo/selfie. However, Instagram shouldn't be actually just for celebrities. I actually think that it's purpose is for Photographers who want to showcase their photos but couldn't get the proper attention because if they'll post in on Facebook, that social media site tends to decrease the quality of the photos in order to make sure that photos are not slowing down their site.

I tried to access the Instagram on my desktop, but I think it's not accessible using the desktop. I think the Instagram really focus on camera phones, because people nowadays using this technology or smart phones to take photos.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Really? I actually open my Instagram account using my laptop and I sometimes post photos using it. I don't know if it changed already because it was I guess last year when I posted a photo using my laptop. Well, if that's the case now then I guess Instagram's focus is really on the camera phones and that's slightly sad especially for professional photographers who use stand-alone cameras.

I am also aware about how popular instagram is but I also don't have an instagram account. I don't know but I still prefer using facebook because I think there are more fb users rather than ig users.

And I think one social media is enough, we don't need to have an account in every social media sites. because it's gonna be a waste of time because you have to upload the same pic in all of your accounts. Maybe for some business owners social media is very helpful.

Due to the discussions that I have read in this site, I was tempted to create an Instagram account for testing purposes. I posted 3 pictures only and got a good number of followers mainly because they are my friends in Facebook. But to become famous as to get new followers who are strangers, well, I guess that is just a dream because social media doesn’t work that way. You need an established footing in terms of reputation in order to be an effective influencer or popular personality.

I must admit that Instagram social network platform has been on massive blow lately. Celebrities, superstars and famous personalities make use of the social media more than Facebook, so therefore find a way to explore and exploit the social media network for one's site benefits is probably a good idea. Even though I don't have an instagram account yet, I'm certainly going to pick some of the tips discussed here when creating my account and profile.

I think getting niche followers is a hardest part. There are many profiles out there who auto follow and auto unfollow. And that can be seriously making things harder. I prefer to have genuine followers. And in such case it can be really hard to keep up with instagram. Because here you don't know how to reach your proper genuine folks who wish to follow you.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

TheArticulate
This has had a huge impact on how I've approached growing my Instagram profile. It wasn't long until I realized that a ton of accounts will follow you just to unfollow later, in hopes you'll follow them back without realizing what they're doing. I look at every profile that follows me and determine whether or not I'll follow them back based off of what I see. If they have a large number of followers but aren't following very many profiles in return, it's a good bet that they'll unfollow you soon.

However, if they're active, posting content that's relevant to my niche (in this case portrait photography) and seem to have a good follower to following ratio (or are followed by mutual friends), then it's probably safe to say you can follow them back and engage with their content too.

Overall, I take the approach that it's better to just keep posting high quality content and let the people come to you. I'll interact with others when I really want to, but I should probably focus on that more, too.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Yes that follow and unfollow pattern is what I have found out the most among some users. They build their account following. And it seems like it works out for them. I have learned that some of the time it takes lot to find genuine people. Like I draw things and very few of the people are into drawing and very few of them like my content. I think just posting the quality content often does not help.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

TheArticulate
Well, it's a combination of a lot of things, I think. High quality content is something that's suggested you focus on from nearly every source I've watched. Granted, you can't solely focus on publishing work and be noticed (unless you're really, really good at what you do like Brandon Woelfel). So in addition to that, I've heard recommendations that you should interact with other creators in your niche and build a following by building connections with people.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
I agree. I have to be good at what I do. And also I have to connect with other publishers and creators. So this in effect may help in networking. And also cross posting from them could land me more leads. So that's a good tip. I guess it happens very slowly in that case.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Exactly. I do have an instagram account and the amount of effort I need to exert in order to have followers bores me a lot that I just ignore it sometimes. The problem with instagram is that you only post photos and that's it. However, if you're not good looking or if you don't have skills with photography it will be really hard for you to gain a lot of followers.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Yes it can be tiring some of the times. The reason being the paid discovery is not affordable. And spam account makes it harder for us to find the genuine. So it;s kind of shot in the blank some of the time with instagram. I have yet to reach that success.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Exactly. Specially if you don't have that much budget and a very valid reason to pay for your profile to be advertised. Based from my observations, most Instagram stars are celebrities and people with significance in the world wide web. If you're just a random person or a businessman, Facebook pages are still preferrable for me than Instagram.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Indeed. I remember setting up the traffic profile for the facebook page. And my money dried up pretty quickly. And it added no value to the business. And no clicks on ads. So it's kind of waste some of the time if you ask me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
True and it's very sad. I might prefer Facebook pages but what you said is also true. There will be instances where your ad will be ignored. That's why big companies hire celebrities for their ad campaigns and for me it's somewhat unfair for small businesses.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Yes. That is what changes the game. People with money buying the influenccers. And they taking most of the traffic. That's what changes the game some of the time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Yeah and however it may seem unfair for us smaller ones, it's still business and them buying influential people is beyond our control and it's just sad. Well, life's unfair ever since tho and that what causes the balance in this world. However, I just wish that us minor ones could be as well be recognized by consumers/followers/likers and etc.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
That is true. You can see that most of the people who are struggling with a instagram. I think they should find ways to get their focus on the paid promotion strategy. And that being said, you can see that being famous definitely helps on instagram.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Exactly. It's better for smaller ones to risk on paid promotion strategy because it's the only thing that can help them as of the moment apart from free self promotion on Facebook pages and spamming comment boxes on trending videos and posts. And yes, being famous is the most important ingredient for Instagram that a lot of people don't have.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Yes. Instead of ads though, one can do co-op and the collab concept works good. And I have seen people making the most out of the instagram in such case. You can see that some of the time it can be really good attempt at working around with the content. That being said, if I were to start from scratch I'd choose this option.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I have to agree with you. I find it quite hard to gain followers on IG. That's why I just focused on my Facebook account. Since you only post pictures on IG, you will only gain likes or followers by posting great images or interesting images.

Honestly I don't have yet my Instagram account but I am interested to have it in the future and I am very thankful to have some knowledge on how to become a famous Instagram user in this discussion. I never thought that I would learn some new tips which was out of my expectation since most of the time I am using Facebook in connecting to other people either my friends or relatives. Maybe I would try now to set an Instagram account for me to apply the tips and ideas that I learn from now.

Most people are keen on taking pictures of themselves and anything they want to show to the world and yes Instagram is a very popular social media platform. In fact, it is one of the most largest social media platform nowadays. Honestly, I just created my account recently but I don't have any plans on using it regularly because I'm not really fond of posting my personal pictures on line. I am doing the same on Facebook. The reason why I create my account is to update my self on the other platform and to keep me updated on what's being trend in this generation. It's hard to fit in the society if your are not aware on the trends in technologies nowadays. But I think I will use it when I am already working professionally. It is just that I think that it is not the right time for me to post something in my Instagram account where in fact not really happening in real life.

I don't have an Instagram account but i'm planning to have one as a marketing tool. I had seen people had success on their business using online platforms like Instagram as a advertising and marketing tool. Its a actually a good strategy and a good platform to show your products.

When one is thinking of becoming quite famous on instagram, there is need to have a better website where your followers can visit to see the services or products that you sell or offer. Also, just as you suggested, having a photograph is quite necessary when one is serious about using instagram for any business purpose.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
You have made a very good point my friend @Barida. It's very important to note that Instagram is all about the pictures message, everything about Instagram is 80% photos and 20% words. So therefore, it's very important to find a to make use of good quality pictures on your Instagram to get a better feel of it.

I have instagram account, howeve,r I am not much active on instagram. That's why I have few followers and few likes. Actually, I reactivated my instagram account recently. I created this account a long time ago but I was not using it. I began using instagram recently.
In order to succeed on Instagram, you need followers.
Having a large followers is the first requirements. Second requirements is posting quality content is gain engagements.

I've actually been avoiding Instagram for the most part, because I really just don't appreciate the demographic it caters to. I'm not saying that you're not going to find some good, wholesome accounts on there, but so much of Instagram is about vanity. It's a platform that caters to narcissism and fuels this vain selfie culture that the world has come to accept. I don't know, maybe I'm just too judgmental, but I feel like a lot of Instagram is a battle of who has the biggest ego.

It's going to be difficult to gain a lot of followers unless you act like every image of yourself is God's gift to man.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
The most active age group in Instagram is under 29. I was not interested in Instagram even when I was in the 20s. When I checked Instagram, all I saw was the photos of the users. The site was used by youngsters to stroke their vanity, to expose their narcissism. (My personal thoughts). I got interested in instagram when I found that you can monetize your Instagram account if you have a lot of followers. I still don't know what I can do on Instagram instead of posting photo with hash tags.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

TheArticulate
I mean, if you're really into photography, I think Instagram can be an immensely powerful tool. While a lot of people might see it as a platform that just perpetuates the "selfie culture" of today's youth, I think that's somewhat of a misconception. There are niches inside of Instagram, and if you follow people within that niche, your feed will only show those posts that you're interested in.

There are some phenomenal landscape photographers like Ryan Longnecker (https://www.instagram.com/ryanlongnecker/) and travel photographers like Andrew Kearns (https://www.instagram.com/andrewtkearns/) or portrait photographers like Brandon Woelfel who shoot wonderful stuff. And as you follow those accounts in your niche, you'll find additional accounts as well. I think you'll actually find many wholesome accounts if you really wanted to.

I'm managing a social media account for an organization right now (it's one of my many part time gigs!) and these tips are really useful. I do think that hashtags are critical for getting reach and also being able to highlight what your company or organization is all about. It's crazy to think these days that social media is such a big way that companies and organizations use to market themselves...without social media accounts you're already falling behind the pack!

You forgot the number one tip for gaining an immense, overnight following on Instagram: have a well-toned, round, firm...butt.

Okay that's somewhat of a joke, but every joke has a bit of truth to it. Recently, I actually watched a series of videos from the YouTube channel Nerd City, in which they did an experiment to see how to gain a ridiculous amount of Instagram followers. If I recall correctly, I think the series was called Try Hards.

I'm not going to link it because it has some suggestive material and I don't want to be reprimanded, but it's a pretty interesting, in depth analysis at how social media platforms like Instagram actually work.

based on my observations, I can say you will gain a lot of followers if you post pictures of sexy women. Women get most of the attention on Instagram. If you do nit believe me try posting a photo of a hungry child and a photo of a sexy model.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DenisP
Isn't that sort of philosophy prevalent in all forms of media, though? I mean there is a reason why a well known quote in the marketing industry is "sex sells." Images of scantily clad women activate a primal part of the male human brain that pretty much makes us go from logical, critical thought processes to "UNGA BUNGA PRETTY LADY."

Instagram users take advantage of this. I'm not saying that this is all Instagram has to offer, but it's a huge portion of it. For example, I have a friend who runs a moderately successful Instagram that posts inspirational content and self-improvement related wisdom. While he has genuinely great quality, useful content, it still doesn't get as much attention as some fitness girl's butt.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
Sex sells and young and beautiful women are used to make this happen. This is a hard truth that women have been used as a commodity in the business world. Therefore it is understandable that instagram is filled with the pictures of scantily clad women. These kinds of images are also prevalent on other image-based social media or all social media in general. For instance, you can also find pictures of sexy women in Pinterest, however, this is less common on Pinterest compared to Instagram

You have a point, and I'm unashamed to say that my Instagram makes use of this very strategy. I do a lot of portrait photography and as a result, I've gotten to know a sizable number of local models, and my Instagram is currently chock full of portraiture of attractive girls. (Instagram page for reference) Also with the occasional male model thrown in as well, but still heavily female-focused.

Generally, I've found that people are more receptive to pictures of women than men, so that's the direction I've taken as well. Honestly, I have no complaints.

That is so true. I have instagram and I have less that 200 followers. It is small number to others especially to those people who posted almost naked. I was thinking to do the same thing but nah I will not do that, instead am posting the photos of my pet and my travel photos.

It is true that skin gets more attention, however, this does not mean you have to show your skin to become insta famous. Well, it might be easier for celebrity to become famous on instagram, however, if you produce good contents, you also have chances of becoming popular. For instance, you can post on general interest category and follow certain rules of posting, such as using proper hashtags.

That is right. I just observed that many people who were half naked or wearing just undies are lots of followers. But I do agree to you that using proper hashtags are helpful to gain followers.

Honestly, I have an Instagram account, and it can be annoying sometimes. Seriously, I don't know how people have enough time, to upload hundreds of status the whole day. In my country, that can be dangerous, everybody knows where you are, and what you're doing. Also, I think social media accounts are somehow like a trending thing. I used to have Facebook and Twitter and used them a lot, nowadays I don't even look at them anymore, and that will happen also to the rest, as long as new social apps will continue coming.

It's funny to think that, some people using the social media as their diary, an open book to the public. Changing status every day and most of the every hour. posting their moods, the place where they have been, the food for dinner and the think I really hate, the drama! How to Become Instagram Famous (InstaFame) But they don't even know how to use the social media for additional income.

Exactly. I was talking about this with my best friend the other day. I was like... how come people expose their life through social media, and they don't even know they can be having a job through it? That's why I stopped using Facebook, Twitter, because all I had the whole day was drama issues from my "friends", honestly that's the last thing I need right now. I rather have some extra earnings with some online platforms, and avoid all those emotional ups and downs from people.

I think the foap app is better than Instagram, if you're really enthusiastic in photos, although it's not a social media, it will help you to earn a little for selling your photos there. Being famous in social media is I think useless if you don't know how to use it to even earn something.

We can all admit that one in our experience, we admire people who looks beautiful and liked their photo.

I don’t have an Instagram account but I told this topic to my husband. Being a famous Instagram personality can bring earnings because you become like a celebrity who can endorse products. My husband created an Instagram account and made 3 posts just to test. After 2 weeks, he has 70 followers. It doesn’t look good because maybe the circle of my husband is not that varied. So maybe he needed to promote his Instagram account to his hundreds of friends in Facebook?

Indeed having a popular instagram account is indeed rewardable by monetizing it. Words usually can't do a picture justice, however you can't avoid the words totally. Many popular in instagram are incredible at utilizing narrating close by their Instagram photographs to create commitment and sharing. While customary media brands have dropped like flies this is something you'll need to focus on working into your technique after some time, so don't stress on the off chance that it feels unusual at first.

Well of course what you mentioned is a good way to get famous on Instagram (and many other services too), but I'd suggest using a 3rd party to advertise your page properly. Once you do it the subscribers will flow.
I remember that I bought an advertisement from a famous YouTuber to advertise my channel, and my channel began to grow on its' own eventually.
