I think you need to promote your gig. You can go to other forums and promote your gig in the signature. Check out all the forums which are related to the niche of your service or gig. And that way you can bring more traffic to your profile. That way you can have your first sale. And another thing is that you can also make use of the social media. Because social media traffic definitely helps you get some serious leads. So in that context I'd say promote on twitter and facebook too. Make sure to not spam your link. As that would make people avoid you instead of ordering from you.

Great information here, overcast. I have been wondering how exactly to do this myself. Using the forms as launching pads is totally smart, and that just makes sense. People interested in the same things and same services can then network and gravitate towards each other. Social media, as we have discussed in other threads here, does definitely help, and if you can generate a buzz about your brand, services, products, blogs, or whatever with social media, I am sure that great things will follow.

Yes I agree that people do tend to gravitate towards the service if they have interest in it. And in case of the forum signature you can see that some of the time we just have to work with the existing traffic. I am not sure if the signatures are allowed in all the forums. But adding them definitely helps as people do click on signature links if they find it interesting.

I have been pretty confused, at times, about what is and is not okay in certain forums. I need to go back and read the fine print in some of the places I joined to make sure I am not violating any policies, but so far no administrator has flagged me or complained, so I thimk I am relatively ok.

Yes reading rules is the only way to find out. I have seen people changing rules on forums. So some of the time linking from the replies also work. But for that you have to take risk with the content marketing. And then build your interaction with people. Single forum alone does not bring much traffic. So see if you're allowed to post in the marketplace threads sections. I think OP can do this and bring more people to her SEOClerks page.

Yes, I've noticed some forums tend to change their policies every now and then. Honestly, I don't have any experience about selling over here, but just interacting with another users, however, an overview to forums always let you know what you can and can't do. Do you know where can I find the marketplace overview rules? I've been searching around and can't find those.

Yes some forums have very strict rules on the outward links. So the best option is to find the forums that have the marketplace and thread options where you can push the outbound links. And that way you can get people to come to your gigs. Though this method may not be working for all. I guess some users can make use of the forums for their gigs if they are small priced.

You have to self promote your work in the forums where this is allowed (that's quite easy to do). After that, I think things are going to happen naturally and then, you'll get the hang of how things work.

I wish you a good luck with that. How to get my first sale in SEOCLERKS.

It sounds like promotion is the way to go on SEO clerks and with blogging and website promotion in general. In order to get organic traffic people need to know about you, what you do, and what you are all about. It can defintely help get you some traffic. It can be very helpful for your overall profile online.

This is also my question. I have been here on SEO Clerk since a couple of months, I have listed two services, however, I have not been able to make any sales. Once, when received a query message, I thought I have finally broken the ice. However, when I replied the messager, I never heard from the "potential buyer." One of the reasons why we are not getting sales is our services are not being found. We need to increase the visibility of our service by using bump feature.

Have you placed bids on any of the Jobs (WTB) for your specific niche? Getting hired via the Jobs/WTB section is an easy way to get your first few customers and really get things rolling with your SEOClerks freelance career. Even a new seller is as likely to get hired there as one with more experience. So it's a perfect place to start. Let us know how it goes. Would love to hear updates.

Some people think all that needs to be done is to just list items for sale on SEOCLerks and sales will then start rolling automatically. This is far from reality. Aside from listing or submitting your products, services or items for sale at SEOCLerks or other platforms like Fiverr, you have to work on getting people aware of this and this is referred to as driving traffic. You can use the Facebook ads to drive potential customers. This is a proven method. It works perfectly. Facebook ads is really promising.
