Organic YouTube Traffic Problems

Hey guys,
It's Nextant here.

I've been having problems if you have seen before on my other forums; I can't get major traffic to my YouTube channel,
I've come here for some advice from you amazing freelancers C: and hopefully any other people who have YouTube channels can look here for some help.

Now I've tried a lot of things,
Putting tags that are most related to the video
But I'm looking for a good tool which would find good tags most related to the video that I can get the most traffic out of.

Posting on twitter everytime I upload a video but that is no help since I only have 7 organic followers.

Maybe a shoutout from a reasonably large YouTube would help?

My videos are really cool but nobody gets to see them.

What worked for me is the forum traffic. For example let's say you make minecraft videos. And you are member of most of the minecraft forums. And here you can share your video link. And this way you can get some ads on your video too. And people can watch the videos without leaving the forum. And that method seem to be bringing a lot of likes and hits too. So that maybe something worth trying. I do however have yet to crack the twitter and facebook traffic. So far not working for me.

I'll try that, but I'm worried about site moderation maybe banning me from forums for sharing.

You meat to share stuff here? I guess this is not the right platform here. You may want to ask around many other YouTube based forums. You can ask for advice there. Also you can find out more subs and likes and other things on those type of forums. Here the tone of the forums and the direction is different. So may not be suitable in that case. I suggest trying thumbnails and proper audio recording.

That's good idea, join to some forum related to your video and promote it. Social media pages also big help to promote videos, I'm sure there're a lot of interested to something new.

Yes. Content related to forum always gets accepted. And many people can check those links posted in the forum. I guess then in such case it's reasonable to post the links in the answers. Also quora works the same way. And you can get the traffic that way too.

Unless you have thousands of subscribers, then it's normal for your channel or videos to not have organic traffic unless you are doing something about it. So to be honest, in terms of organic and passive traffic, you really aren't getting any unless, as I said, if you have thousands of subscribers.

Since you have posted on Twitter, try to share the link of your video to Facebook or other social medias as well. That is the only way to get organic traffic. Unless you are willing to spend some money on promoting it. That always work.

I only have 500 subscribers and even with that, I only get less than a hundred views for most of my gaming videos even with me sharing and posting them on forums and social media sites. It has become so difficult that I considered getting so much organic views would be out of sheer luck. I have earmed 64$ so far but I am not yet able to withdraw because of the cashout threshold. I wish you luck and do not give up! Perseverance is also important for this.

At this point YouTube traffic now has to come from outside of YouTube. With how the site has changed its tag algorithms over the years it is pretty much impossible to get traffic from that method anymore.

Let me share with you a trick that was used in one of our videos on Youtube. It is an mtv of an original song composition with the video also an original. When uploaded, it was getting just trickles of views in spite of the marketing by email. There was no social media yet at that time. When we changed the description of the video to make it controversial, just the description though, it started to get a lot of views. And unknown to us, those viewing it were also spreading the link on their own volition. We learned of that sharing when we Googled our video. Anyway, it now has more than 200k views just because of that controversial and maybe intriguing description.

I think you need to promote your video to other site, like the snuckles if I'm not mistaken. Some new videos from youtube start with that kind of site. It's earning site also, you can earn $ by watching some new videos. I don't know how it works but some of the videos there start with zero views.

You need to remember that Youtube is a search engine. I agree with !corzhens that you may need click bait because they are millions of videos on Youtube. You also need to optimize your videos for google and research your keywords well. I think that your keywords are the key to your video ranking. Try and look for keywords that have less competition and once your video is found and the content is fabulous it will sell itself.
